"Well, the potatoes will be burning when they are ready, I suppose it can't hurt them to cool off a little if the omlet isn't ready..." commented Dell at her Master's mock threat.
She listened to his instructions intently and found out she was able to look him in the eye, which was very positive considering what he'd just done to her.
She still blushed when he put the apron on her instead of just handing it to her. He tied it around her waist and she thought that not so long ago his hand was just a little lower. She winced at the path her brain was taking. Don't think about that Dell, it'll get us all fidgety and strange, she scolded herself.
Oh, there he went again, warning her about "stern consequences". She stiffened for a second, her bottom tingling over the uncomfortable warmth that covered it, and decided on the spot she'd always do her best in this house. Not that she was the type to not try her best, but anyway.
She got the knife and the cutting plank he'd laid out for her and took the onion. She peeled it off easily, but when it came to cutting it, her eyes started watering almost immediately.
She blinked to keep the tears from blurring her sight and continued cutting. Thankfully, they didn't take long to cut up and she quickly put the onion bits in the pan with a little butter.
She turned to quickly pour some milk with the eggs she had in a bowl, unsure about the quantities. She stopped pouring quickly and went to stir the onions.
"Is that enough milk? And is the fire set right?" she asked Thaddeus over her shoulder.
