Severus knew that if he waivered his gaze even a bit that Potter would misguidedly take that as a sign of weakness. And even though he didn't particularly like punishing Potter, it was his duty as his professor and pseudo-guardian. He stared down at the boy, prompting him to translate 'always sever' into Latin, waiting for an answer.
When he got one, he rose an eyebrow at the sigh Potter gave directly afterwards, along with his apology.
"I should hope so." He snorted. "Sectumsempra is not a friendly spell. Nor is it designed for young wizards who intend to use it for harm." He scolded, before grabbing Potter firmly by his ear, dragging him out of the courtyard and all the way to the dungeon level, near the Slytherin common room--to his office. He carted Harry inside, still clutching the boy's wand and placed him in front of his desk, Snape rounding the table and he took a seat, eyeing the boy.
"Place your hands on your head." Snape murmured, with Harry still standing in front of him. "Stand up straight and do not move." He ordered, turning back to the lesson plan he had nearly been finished with before being distracted by his naughty ward.
