Default Nightfall (for RoleplayLover)

Reia tore into a half-eaten sandwich she found in the bin of a nearby restaurant, it was a good find, a good portion of sandwich with meat and cheese, not soaked in anything gross. She inhaled it within a minute, not wanting to give anyone a chance to take it away from her. When she was done with that, it was time to go to work, she brushed herself off the best she could and darted into the waning light. It was sunset, the perfect time for a pickpocket like her to make some money, find some more food and generally make her living.

She was a sad sight, a shabby eleven year old, probably stunted from malnutrition in her formative years, donned in oversized cargo pants that looked like they had seen better days, held up only by a belt that had to be modified with more holes to fit someone her size. Her shirt was a blue sweatshirt with a couple rips at the hem, the neck opening was also a bit too large, always falling to one side or the other. Overall everything was a bit dirty, but not really surprising considering she spent her days sleeping in an abandoned building and her nights hiding in alleys and digging through dumpsters. At the moment she was perched atop a short alley wall, looking in all directions to find herself a new mark.

Not many people walked by yet, it was dusk now, the real bustle would start in an couple hours or so as everyone came out to enjoy the nightlife of the city. Right now would be the perfect time to catch someone out all by themselves, a businessman rushing home after staying late at work or someone heading out for a night of drinking, padded wallet in tow. There she sat for a few more minutes, as night descended, keeping her eye out for a sucker.

Reia was quick, agile and small, no one ever saw it coming and if anyone else saw, she could usually out run a pursuer. Over the next couple hours she found a couple people to separate from their money, sneaking up behind them, reaching silently into their pockets and being gone without them being any the wiser. The darkness was here and their air was crisp and cool, this was her element.
