Conner would sometimes find himself in trouble for picking on Jon, he'd scare him with the idea of the house being haunted or put on a clown mask to scare him at night. He and Jon were always bickering about one thing or another and Conner wasn't against hitting or kicking Jon to make the kid do as he said. Last week he got a strapping from Clark for punching Jon in the arm when he tried to take the remote from him. Jon STILL had the bruise, and he had cried at the time.
He frowned when Clark said that he knew he didn't like him calling Jon the biological kid. "But he is the biological kid, and I'm the kid you got stuck with." he answered with a shrug though the idea of that did hurt his heart a little.
"I don't want to go to the stupid service!" Conner huffed, grumpy and disagreeable because it was too early. "They're going to show some clip from the Passion of the Christ or something and I don't wanna see that, you KNOW how I feel about that sort of thing."
Hal looked horrified, he'd seen that movie once....and once was enough. "If they even think about showing that movie, I'll complain, it's way, way, way too graphic and horrible for kids, especially our Jon." he explained and then smiled at Jon when he said he and Clark just finished the cross up. "Oh that's great kiddo, I'm sure the Pastor's going to LOVE what you did." he said proudly, pretending to eat his ears because he was in a playful mood.
"I don't think they'll show anything like that, Connie." Hal assured, "And if they do, I'll whisk you off outside so you don't have to watch it, okay baby?"
"Well...alright." Conner nodded and smiled a bit, he liked being called baby now and again. "I still get nightmares from watching Prince of Egypt with all the slave whippings..." he shuddered.
