[Shadowlight]

A fifteen year old known only as Volka causes chaos in a small country town until one night she and a few of the teenage 'gangsters' are caught vandalizing a police car, the car belonging to an gruff but not unkind man who almost instantly sees through the girl's tough facade. After finding out her real name and recalling a child abuse case a year or so ago where he decides not to press charges and convinces the judge to give her a hefty probation period and then release her in his custody.
