There are three paths through the re-writing assignment, and that scene only happens in one of them (if you get the scribe in the market to do the re-write).

Oh, that's really odd. I don't see anything in the game code that can cause that. Not sure if I'm missing something or if it might be a bug in RPGMaker itself.
