"May, hold still!" Caroline commanded, bandaging up the more serious looking wounds as her daughter squirmed in discomfort on the couch. It took a while to stop the bleeding and cover all of the cuts, but eventually she was satisfied that May's health needs were taken care of. The woman wiped a few beads of sweat from her brow when she was finished. "May, honey," she began. "What happened to you? Why was a Poochyena chasing you? Aren't they usually fairly docile unless you provoke them?"
