Banjo, I play MV games because using both a mouse and keyboard in a game comes naturally to me. Also the first AOTK games I tried were MV games. The graphics are not as important as the game(play) - which is why I still have and play Pocket Tanks on my computer. Even in Spankquest DX, I still find myself grabbing the mouse to move my character out of habit now and then. I don't hate/dislike non MV RPGMaker games, if I like them, I'll play them just as much. (Eagerly awaiting your next update).
I hope this helps answer your question.

Thanks, I was genuinely curious. I can see wanting to use the newer engine to make a game, but I couldn't see any reason to favor playing a game in MV over VXA, since graphics aren't dependent on the engine (people just tend to use the default, which is why most MV games look the same, most VX games look the same, but there's no reason you can't use VXA graphics in MV, which is what I'd do if I made my own game from scratch, most likely). Plugins and scripting means that there is very little you can't do in VXA that you can in MV, and vice versa... it just takes a bit more work sometimes. For example, MV outputs a bigger graphics window than VXA by default... but SQDX can now be set to do so too as of the last update.
Incidentally, SQDX will have mouse support either next update or the one after that. I think it was your post (or someone else's in my thread) that made me look into that and figure out it was possible, just tricky.
