Some easy fixes:
You start with the default RPG Maker Hero's gear which you can sell for like 700 gold.
You can walk straight through the mayor's house/roof in town.
Bigger issue: a lot of the time I didn't know what to do, even when what I had to do was very simple, due to a lack of direction. The first problem was right at the start, when Kaeli wants you to take the dishes downstairs. I grabbed the dishes and went downstairs and couldn't figure out what to do, tried to put them in the sink, talk to the bartender, etc. The issue was that I had to collect 3 separate events of dishes, including the 2 glasses which I had missed. Yeah, it sounds dumb. My fix for this would be to mention cleaning up the glasses in the text, not just "dishes", and to have an event that prevents you from leaving the room until you have all of them.
Second time I got stuck was after Kaeli disappears after you get the book. There's really no direction here, honestly. Nobody will think "Kaeli gone = time to read that book." I didn't even realize I had it in my inventory and only found it after going everywhere and talking to every NPC and inspecting every object I could trying to advance the plot.
Lastly is finding the people for the gods, I only found the couple for Biddisima and that's because I got a hint in the walkthrough after talking to practically every other single NPC that I could. Never found whoever Wotsrite wanted me to find and I feel like I checked everywhere (is it possible that activating Biddisima's quest deactivated hers? Don't know).
