Mara had been minding her own business during the day as she had been busy looking for food. The mice that were around didn’t really look appetizing and she didn’t have the heart to kill one anyway so she had stuck to eating anything that looked remotely edible. Today had been somewhat lucky though as the restaurant she usually rested beside had “ruined” a batch of biscuits due to a hair getting in them. The restaurant hadn’t been able to trace which biscuits had the hairs and which didn’t so they had decided to just throw away the ones they had made and prepare a fresh batch.

The tiny demon was in the middle of eating them when she noticed the mice that usually waited for her to drop something had scurried away. She didn’t see what had worried them though and had gone back to eating, stuffing her mouth with the bread.
