Trouble at Marienburg
The Castle of the Teutonic Order in Malbork, modern day Poland in the year 1310, one year before the slaughter at Wopławki. Brother Albrecht knocked on the door of the honored guest, an English knight whose name he did not recall. He knew he was staying here with his young daughter, a maiden beautiful in body and spirit. Obviously she was good marriage material, if she hadnīt such a rebellious spirit. But alas, he didnīt want to get involved in her parenting. His duty was to make their guests feel welcome. Indeed the knights had spared no expanse, for guest crusaders were a source of income and military power for them. The great hall, or Rittersaal in German, was a sight one would not easily forget. And here the welcoming feast would be held.
