Isaac hummed in acknowledgment to this as he re-locked the door and switched off the porch light, strolling into the living room and setting the kid down on the sofa after turning the lights on.
“Alright then, so Mom it is. Stay there, and in a moment I’ll fetch you one of my jumpers and a blanket from upstairs.”
So saying, he headed over to the TV and began to rummage around in the cabinet underneath it, looking for a children’s movie to entertain the kid while he took care of everything.
