Gotham City, a bedlam of dark depression, conniving criminals and gloomy weather also played host to it's greatest protectors. Batman and Robin! The Caped Crusader and his young charge fighting crime and helping citizens.

Though now it was the parting of the night sky and a piercing ray of sunshine that kept the villians at bay. The promise of a bright new day.

The vigilante by night Bruce Wayne had just gotten out of bed, dressed in some comfortable pajamas that reached his ankles, he quickly brushed his teeth and washed his face. It was a Saturday morning, no crime fighting until nightfall and a free day of relaxation for the young preteen.

Speaking of the exuberant and cheerful Dick Grayson, Bruce should go and wake the boy up.

No Alfred today either, the old butler deserved some time to himself as well and freedom from the madhouse of Gotham.

After freshening up and rubbing the sleep finally from his eyes, Bruce left his room. Walking down the lightly lit hallway and passing by the multitude of family portraits, Bruce arrived at Dick's door. He softly went to open it and waken his son to a brand new day.

"Dick, Dick it's time to wake up." The dark haired male murmured before opening the door and letting himself inside. He knew his ward had some issues getting up in the morning despite his cheerful nature, he was still a kid and loved to sleep in.

The poster filled room making Bruce smile at the joy and life that followed Dick wherever he went as if he was a beacon. That in display with photos of his family, the Graysons, Bruce and Alfred in separate photos along with his multi interests that kept the boy active. Opening the curtains and quickly shielding his eyes from the intense glare Bruce went to go rouse his sleeping partner.

"Dick, did you hear me? Time to get up." He called out softly as he rubbed the boy's back in calming circles to awaken the sleeping youngster.
