Jean's lips twitched into a small smile at Akari's pouting. It was adorable that she wanted to be independent. Unfortunately for her, Jean really wanted to pamper his new child. It was unlikely Jean would let her do much of anything, be it chores or even carrying her own bag. At home, anyway. Obviously he can't follow her around at school, carrying her bag.
"I'm sure you can. Thanks for letting me do it." Jean said, walking over to her and ruffling her hair. "Are you hungry?" he asked, thinking it was a good time for lunch.
