While I do dabble in the game making, I don't see how that's relevant to my points. Are you an artist or developer? Can I just write off your opinion if you're not? How many of the 300 users that voted either of those things? Can we ignore their votes?
Look, I'm not trying to debate or get into an argument on the internet with fellow spankos. This isn't a major life altering event of major importance. I'll try sum up my point here.
I am not just "promoting my personal preference". I'm pointing out we have a poll for a reason. Just because the poll didn't go the way some people wanted it, all of sudden we're changing rules, disqualifying options, or changing how the results will work. We're now getting people insulting other peoples tastes, calling it boring, or lame. I thought this was supposed to be about a shared fetish we all enjoy, regardless of the result.
It really sucks the fun out of it if we draw a line between ourselves like this, and honestly makes me not want to participate in general. It makes me not want to make a game if half the people here are upset it's not the one they wanted for, it makes me wish I didn't even vote if it's just going to make people upset it's not the same thing they voted for.
I'll leave it alone from here. I hope everyone somehow gets what they want.
