Actually, I'll be trying out the Script Workshop tool for Blade Engine (Visual Novel Engine). As for playtesting, well, once I have at least the basics in order, I'll pass it around for those who want to. Then, with your feedback, I can polish it off and release it here properly.
Current thoughts/issues:
* I have already put more work into this than any other "I'm going to make a game!" idea/project before, so it's looking promising.
* I actually have the whole game set out in flowchart form on a couple of sheets of paper, likewise a sequel! I even have ideas for another few in the series.
* Backgrounds will likely be a pain. If people want to help by making those, I would really appreciate it.
* I'd like to hear any ideas people have for character design - even if it's just for how they look, this can add a bit more flavour to it, some things that I haven't thought up. Likewise individual scenarios or causes of trouble. The basic idea is that you're playing a new teacher at an all-girls school, and the headmistress is disappointed with previous staff, and wants more discipline and authority exerted. The various students are going to be pushing their limits as the game goes, trying to see how nice the new teacher is. This can lead to multiple endings, based on how nice you decide to be. So if you have an idea for someone getting into trouble, let me hear it. Likewise if you have a look in mind, or a personality type or anything of the sort, let me know.
* As it stands, there'll be no music for the game. If anyone can suggest any sources of non-copyrighted music that would work for quiet, non-obtrusive background music, I'd like to know.
