The Alpha and His Beta

It was early in the morning when Grai got up, moving in the bed he saw the man next to him still asleep, going to get his work clothes before heading into the bathroom to take a quick shower. He came out putting on his shirt, the grey husky ran over hopping at his legs,"Hey Berry! How about we get you some breakfast huh?",the man said walking to the kitchen with the dog following behind him. He looked through the cabinets dragging out the dog food pouring it into the bowl before getting himself some cereal, eating it as he watched the husky eat, he finished it washing out the bowl. Grai saw a yellow ball waving it towards his pet,"Hey Berry! You want this? Go get it.",he said throwing it into the other room, paling when he heard a crash,"Damn it.. Please don't be what I think it is..".

The man rushed in seeing a few broken bottles on the floor,"It is..Shit!",he mumbled glancing at the shelf they were on, rushing to get some paper towels he mopped it all up, throwing out the glass sighing. "Okay I need to get to work. Say good morning to him for me girl.",he said ruffling the dog's fur before walking to the door and getting in his car driving to the cafe a few minutes away. Walking inside the back way he waved to the girl getting coffee beans,"Morning Priscilla. I'll take the counter for yah.",he said hanging his jacket up before tying on the company's apron standing at the register.

When River woke up, it was almost ten o'clock; he had been to the club until very late, the previous night, so he had been so soundly asleep that morning that had not heard his mate leaving the bed nor the dog barking.
Not even the sound of his most precious liquors crashing on the floor of the living room, "killed" by a yellow ball.

The tall man yawned, slowly standing up from the bed and stretching his muscular arms, lifting them up toward the ceiling until his shoulders produced a little "crack", making him smile. A minute later he was making his way to the shower, already thinking about what he was going to have for breakfast, at Grai's cafè.

More or less half an hour later, the man finally stepped on the stair, reaching the ground floor of their house, wearing a black t-shirt on top of a pair of jeans and dark leather boots, scratching his chin and wondering if it was time to trim his beard a bit.
His thoughts were completely wiped away by the intense alcoholic smell that literally punched his nose when the entered the living room, making him frown right after.

-What the hell...?- she muttered, looking toward the shelf where he used to keep his private (and very expensive) collections of Scotch and liquors, just to find it completely empty.
It took him less than a second to march to the kitchen, to check inside the trash bin, finding all the broken bottles.
Suddenly, he felt a burst of anger inside his chest; Grai was going to be in deep trouble, later that day.

It was right then that Berry, their beautiful dog (he had tried to name her something less girly, like Blaze or Nova, but Grai had won that round), came inside from the garden, jumping around and barking at him, greeting him like every morning.
Despite being now more than crossed with his boyfriend, River bent over to pet the dog and he even gave her one of her favorite treats, one of her dog biscuits, before deciding that he was too hungry to wait any longer and too pissed not to joing Grai at work and ask for explanations.
So, he grabbed his jacket from the couch, where he had thrown it the night before, and he went to his motobike, an original Harley Davids, that he cherished with all his heart.

When River finally arrive at the Cafè, he was still mad about his liquors, but he had time to calm down a bit on the road, and at least now he was ready to hear the other's excuses, before killing him for wasting such good alcohol.
He entered the place after parking the Harley in front of the shop, immediately looking for Grai, ready to throw him a murderous glance; he wanted him to understand that he was in trouble right away.

Grai looked at all the types of coffee beans he had in the front, noticing a few bags missing he turned to the storage room,"Pricilla we need the Italian Roast, French Roast, Maple Beans, and the Dark Ground Verona.",he called, setting the classic coffee flavors to brew, pouring the strong yet pleasant smell as he filled each machine. He also checked the different creamers and drizzles, checking the chalk board as he listed the new special of the day as pumpkin spice latte, and made sure the basics were there also. He popped some of his signature pre-made biscut and croissant dough into the oven, as well as some pastries, smiling a but as the aroma from the cinnamon mixed with the coffee. He went to the backroom, taking a golden key out to turn it in a safe before he also put in the combination, opening the black and silver box he got out some money to pop in the cash register for change that today, closing it up he put the key into his pocket, but his head was also still on that morning.

'He should be awake by now.... Damn it.. Why didn't I replace the trash bags.. Okay just breath.. I can buy him a new bottle.',he thought grinning a bit as he ran a hand through his blonde hair before stopping once again as he place some crisp twenty dollar bills into their slots. 'I can't buy alcohol.. I'm not twenty one yet... Why couldn't I turn that age this year.. My whole life is against me..',a sigh came from him as he finished the job up shutting the cash register with a frown printed on his face. Grai shook his head as he tried to relax, though his muscles were still tense, the amount of nervous he was if he didn't shave his hair would have been standing up by now.

"Well, I'd say we're open for business.",he stated trying to loosen up, hearing the door jingle a few minutes after,"Good.. morning..",he started to say before the man looked up and saw River coming through the door,"Ahem... Good morning River. Are you having your usual order?". Grai immediately glanced down at the counter as if he was doing something to avoid as much eye contact as he possibly could,"Pricilla! Could you do this customer's order? I have to make sure we got a... special shipment thanks!.",he turned away handing her the coffee cup as he went. "Okay special shipment. That'll buy me about five minutes.. Then I can say we're out of whip cream.. No that wouldn't work I hardly ever forget supplies..",Grai mumbled to himself reading the different supply boxes that were stacked on metal shelves.

River kept looking at him, now paying attention to his body language and noticing immediately how he was avoiding his eyes, looking at the counter and pretending to be busy.
He could almost imagine him with a pair of low ears on the sides of his head and with a fluffy tail tucked between his legs.

The Alpha male didn't said anything, he just glanced at his mate, while Grai was passing the mug to his employee, Pricilla, before running away and hiding in the storage room.
That made River roll his eyes in annoyance, before walking after the other man, lifting a hand toward the woman, smiling at her.
-Don't worry, he will make my coffee in a minute. You go on with your chores.- he said to her, before pushing the back door, following Grai -Just don't come in here for a while.- were River's last words to the girl.

So, once inside the storage room with the other werewolf, the taller man looked down at him, folding arms over his wide chest.
-You look guilty as a pup caught chewing his owner's shoes.- he told him, with a stern voice -Are you going to tell me what happened at home or i have to guess, uhm?- he added right after, huffing like an irritated dog.

Clearly he wasn't happy about the situation... and the fact that he had followed him there, where they could be alone and where he could basically do whatever he wanted, was a clue about his intentions.
-Do you have any idea of how expensive those liquors were?- was the following question.

Grai glanced up slightly, seeing the man's eyes on him, swallowing slowly trying to keep from sounding guilty,"Are you gonna actually say something?",he asked in a steady voice, after he left him sitting there he started to immediately regret it about to turn and go back out there.

Pausing for a moment,'Wait... What was...',he thought before hearing River's voice come closer, his eyes growing wide,'Shit.... Please don't be...',he nearly gasped as the back door opened, grabbing up his clipboard in a hurry as if he was checking off each item. "Um what did you need River? Pricilla need some supplies I thought I set everything up out there?",he asked writing a few things down, chewing on his lip a bit as he read the boxes.

"Guilty? What are you talking about?.. The liquor? I can buy them back for you? I mean Berry was playing around and she got too excited. So they broke....She didn't mean it though.",Grai said with a sigh,"Um I can make your breakfast if you want now?". He tried to push back the thought of what he was doing back here, the last time they were at his cafe in the storage room he was avoiding sitting for the next week.

The older wolf kept staring at him, while closing the door behind himself and after a moment he sniffed the air toward the other male, checking his body odour, like he was used to do to determine if something was wrong.
Especially since he was aware that Grai could be a sneaky little liar, from time to time.
And apparently, his suspicions were justified since it took him less than a second to understand that his mate was telling fibs, blaming their dog for the mess he had made.

-So you're telling me that the dog suddenly developed the ability of jumping high enough to reach a shelf on the wall and that she knocked off all my bottles just like that?- he said, slowly and with a cold voice, wanting him to understand how stupid that sounded -...do you think i'm an idiot?- he then added, snorting slightly.

The big bad wolf's mood was getting worse, now, and he took another step forward.
-You know what pisses me off even more than all that great Scotch wasted? That you are lying to my face. You know that i can smell that.- River continued, now starting to mix up with his normal voice a low growl, reminding to Grai that he was not just his boyfriend, but also his leader in the Pack -So now why don't you just tell me the truth before that i'll take my belt off? You're already walking on thin ice, i warn you.- he concluded.

Grai started tapping his finger on the papers, seeing his nose move, just made him even more nervous, trying to calm down before turning towards River,"I...She can be... Okay so it does sound pretty dumb when you say it like that!",he mumbled glancing away again, 'Crap! Why'd you admit it! Now he's gonna be more pissed... Calm him down!',he thought to himself.

"Uh...Well this morning Berry was so excited.. and I fed her and I saw her ball, you know the bouncy one with the star of the front? So I threw it for her, and I guess I miscalculated, and it just crashed into the bottles. I guess sometimes I forget my own strength?",he said trying to get the other to laugh before clearing his throat,"So uh yeah... Sorry...".

He looked away again, shaking out one leg to steady his footing, he already knew what the result would be but he could hope,"I can make you breakfast now? Really, I'll pay for the bottles and it'll be okay.",Grai said taking a step back once he noticed the wolf had moved closer.

River let him blabber about the dog and the ball until the other man finally seemed to admit what he had done, then trying to joke about his own strength, probably hoping that he would just laugh and forget about the whole matter.

And the truth was that maybe that technique could have worked, River could be a cheerful person when he wanted and he wasn't a Drama Queen, if Grai had not lied to him before.
Right now, to him, the most serious problem was not the wasted alcohol, but the the fact that the other guy had tried to trick him and to blame that poor dog, knowing that he would never hurt the animal.

-So it was you, not Berry.- he simply said after a looooong moment of silence, looking down at his mate with a angry eyes -I've already told you in the past not to play with the dog inside the house, am i right? Remember last year, when you two broke the new Tv screen, fooling around in the living room?- he scolded him -I had hoped that the lesson i gave you that time would teach you something, but apparently i was wrong.-

The Alpha let out another sigh, now really annoyed.

-Oh, you will make me breakfast in a few minutes, yes.- he went on, before suddenly bending him left leg, putting his foot on an empty plastic case of beer on the floor, before stretching out a hand to grab Grai by the collar of his shirt, just like any animal would grab his cub by the scruff.
A moment later, the stronger werewolf was positioning his younger boyfriend over his knee, pinning him down and surrounding his waist with his left arm, to keep him in position and to prevent him from falling over.

It was one ot the most common positions River used to spank him, when they were not at home and he couldn't sit down properly somewhere.

-But before that, you need a quick reminder of what happens to you when you lie to me.- the Alpha went on, now tugging down his jeans to uncover his round butt, protected only by his underwear -To work with a sore ass all day long maybe will teach you to be a good boy, at least for a while.- he concluded.

The silence started to get to Grai, as he thumbed through the same five pages over and over again,'Stop staring at me.. I can't think... Geez why did I have to stop growing... Just a few more inches... Maybe 16 more.... That's not a lot to ask for.',he thought looking up at the ceiling for a minute or two before he shook his head sighing.

Once he did hear the man speak again, his blood ran cold,"We didn't break it that bad. And she had brought the frisbee and did that look! You know the one where she whimpers and keeps staring with those blue eyes...",he said before going quiet at the mention of the punishment,"It did teach me something. I haven't broken a TV again!".

He gasped as his collar was grabbed, looking at him with one last hoping glance, it didn't last long, as he was over his knee in a few seconds,"I'm being good. Now I won't be able to work!",Grai complained with a huff, trying to get as comfortable as possible,"I need to wear a belt more often so you can't just pull these down.. like those fitted jeans.",he mumbled.

-Your will should be a bit stronger than the dog's one, don't you think?- he snapped back when Grai tried to blame Berry once more for the troubles thay had caused together in the past; sometimes River was feeling a bit more like a dad, than like a boyfriend.
He was aware that loving someone so much younger could imply to have to act like the "adult" of the couple, from time to time, but still when the other was behaving like that, he really felt old.

So, when he grabbed his mate and he pulled him over his knee for his quick attitude adjustment, the Alpha had to force himself to keep calma, especially since Grai decided to "complain" about his imminent punishment, instead of asking for forgiveness.
-No, you're not being good.- he rebuked him -You disobeyed house rules and you lied to me! You are such a brat, sometimes.- he then added, with his most annoyed voice tone, wanting him to understand that he was really mad at him, that he wasn't fooling around -And don't be a Drama Queen, you'll be perfectly able to work. I won't skin you alive, i'll just give you a red bottom to help you think about your wrongdoings for a few hours.-

While saying that, the stronger man raised his big hand in the air... a second later, the palm of that same hand hit Grai's backside, right in the middle of his poor butt.
A second smack followed, then a third and so on: his punishment had began.

River started to spank him just like he had done many other times before, alternating the spanks on both buttocks, first on one side then on the other, wanting him to feel the burning all over his ass.
He knew that the younger werewolf would be at his best behaviour for a while, after that little lesson, so he went on, slowly but using a good amount of his strenght.

Outside the storage room, the clapping sound of the spanking could be heard and soon the cries of the one on the receiving end of it would follow...
