Leonard McCoy watched with the binoculars as Captain James T. Kirk climbed the mountain, his heart seeming to beat more rapidly when Kirk started to get higher. He lowered his binoculars when he saw that Spock was now next to him. A scowl appearing on his face as he watched them,"God damn irresponsible!" He growled, playing games with life!"

Mean while Chekov was with Sulu in the same wilderness. He was happy to be on this little vacation, he needed it. He walked with Sulu, having a little conversation about everyday things, and every so often pointing out how something was invented in Russia.

"Concentration is vital, you must be one with the mountain" Spock encouraged in his usual monotone, observing his friend from the air

Jim rolled his eyes as he gripped the rocks, feeling himself slip a bit. His attention went back to his climbing as he responded "Spock, i appreciate your concern, but if you don't stop distracting ne, I'm liable to become one with th-" his handhold gave way and the captain slipped, freefalling several hundred feet.

Sulu nodded as he spoke, all the while getting them more and more lost

Well, if The CMO hadn't had heart attack during the time Kirk was scaling the mountain he was sure he had one he saw Kirk fall he lowered his binoculars, horror stricken,"Oh god.." He muttered, before hurrying off. Terrified of what he was going to come upon, but to his relief he ran to find Spock holding the Captain upside down by his leg.

Chekov looked around at their surroundings and frowned. Looking deeply concerned for a moment before turning to his friend,"Um Sulu? You do know where we are going right?" He asked.

"Perhaps 'because it is there' is not a sufficient reason for climbing a mountain" Spock mused

"I'm hardly in a position to disagree" Kirk was offering breathless laughs, the aversion to a bloody death playing on his nerves as he dangled, waving at the upside down image of his good friend "hey Bones! Mind if we drop in for dinner?"

Sulu looked around "uh..." he sighed "No" he finally admitted

Scotty was cursing at the ship he loved so much, willing the damn thing to work as he lay under the control panel

Bones honestly didn't know if he should be relieved and hug Kirk or be pissed off and beat the crap out of him, but instead he just sighed at what he said, looking at him with a *Are you seriously making jokes right now* look.

Cut to later that day where he's made supper, after Kirk says something he just looks at him with a angry look,"You know something Jim, you really piss me off!"

Chekov looked nervous at that moment,"What do we do? We can't just say we got lost..That would be wery humiliating."

"How's that?" Jim looked at his friend a bit amused by his anger

Sulu nodded "Indeed...perhaps we could lie about the conditions to get coordinates" He suggested

An alert went out on the console, causing scotty to growl "I just fixed the damn thing!"

Bones growled,"Maybe it didn't cross your macho mind but when you fell off that mountain you should have been killed."

When Sulus communicator beeps and he answers, Chekov provides Blissard noises after Sulu lies about them being caught in one.

"Yeah but i didn't" Kirk pointed out gleefully "even as i fell i knew i wouldn't die"

Uhura rose a brow "Our locaters say sunny, 72°"

Scotty frowned deeply from his spot, not liking the fact that the boys were lying for something so...stupid

Bones rose a brow,"And hows that?"

Chekov looked worried, but then tried to save them,"Sulu look! The suns out! It's a miracle!"

"I just knew" Jim said simply, enjoying a forkful of beans

Scotty rolled his eyes "ye can stop lying laddie we know yer lost. Now we're going to beam you uo, we have a lot of work to do"
