Hi! Yayy, finally found the rules post LOL - KNEW there had to be one around here somewhere... Sorry - just that I've never been on a forum-type site before so I'm still learning even merely how to navigate. *sheeps*

All wonderfully clear and very logical and honorable rules! It makes me /very/ happy to see these. My respect /definitely/ just went up a few more notches.

I do still have a few clarification questions, though, as far as what is allowable. I do get that the main focus of any post - pic, fic, rp, chat - must be specifically spanking related. This is, after all, Anime-OTK (over-the-knee), not Anime-Dungeon or something similar. However, I am a hard-playing (when my chronic disease will let me, argh) BDSM bottom. I'm not into sex, let alone depicting it in artwork - what I enjoy is the trust, the power exchange, the adrenaline rush, etc - so there would never be anything of /that/ sort in anything I post or participate in . . . but unless there's an explicit or unspoken taboo or rule against it, I would like at least sometimes to utilize restraints, dungeon furniture/settings, etc and/or depict evidence of other types of play having taken place - e.g. whiplash welts on the back while the actual action of the scene is a paddle/etc to the butt of the scene bottom. Is this kind of thing allowed on this forum? (And if not, that's TOTALLY fine - I just want to be sure I'm being...iono "kosher" to the site. ^__^)

Part of the reason that I ask is, in looking through this year's Communal Gallery, there were comments made in response to a few of the posted images. Nothing /bad/, just things like "well, I don't really like that his hands are bound but otherwise great pic" or "Ouch! Too violent!" I don't know if that's just the opinions of the individual commenters, which is cool, or if that was their way of gently admonishing the artist for breaking a rule of the forum without getting them flagged for it.

Again, I'm completely cool with things either way! I just wanted to get that question clarified off the bat.

Thanks so much in advance for your time!

Oh! Sorry . . . one more thing - thought you should know about a broken link in the above rules - Under "Forum Rules: NO REQUESTS", the link associated with "Picture Requests" results in a "404 Not Found" error message: "The requested URL /forumdisplay.php/picture_suggestions-14/index.html was not found on this server." I thought you should know.

Thanks again!

Hugs and spanks

I'm curious about the following rule: "No real pictures anywhere on the site - this includes photos of yourself. It also included computer generated or drawn images that look too real - eg images created by poser. These are called psuedophotos and are classed as child pornography if they involve a minor - therefore they are not permitted anywhere on the site. Offenders will be banned immediately and permanently!"

I understand the need to avoid child pornography, but why aren't pseudophotos of non-minors allowed? I'm just curious. Thank you.

Because people are stupid and liars. You just get people posting pictures that are obviously of minors and claiming "Oh no, they're over 18! Honest!!"
Its moot anyway, there isn't a developed nation in the world - including the US - that doesn't state that psuedophoto's are real photos. No exceptions, there's no debate whatsoever allowed nor any arguing. It's a real photo and will be treated as a real photo so even if it has adults characters but shows, say a rape scene, then your guilty of a crime.
The only way to stay legal, is to avoid them altogether.

Rules Updated
Quote:
Gallery Rules:
  • If there is not a suitable are in the gallery (eg you have a picture by xxx but they do not have a section there) please request that a new section is added instead of uploading to "unknown artist" - alternatively (if the artist has very few works) upload to the Communal Gallery giving the artist full credit
  • Do not upload work by other members of the community - please ask them to upload it instead, this way it will go into their own user folder.
  • If you are an artist and have a lot of work you wish uploaded on you behalf please contact "Ai" who can sort this out for you (1000's of pictures can be uploaded to your personal user gallery with only a few mouse clicks) NOTE: you will be required to zip and email the pictures or transfer them by ftp (whichever is easier)
  • The referencing/tracing of artwork is highly frowned upon - it's suggested that you do not reference or trace and works you upload as your own. If you really must, ensure that less than 10% of the artwork you have uploaded is referenced/traced and the original picture must be linked to! Any artwork that is reference/traced and does not link to the original will be removed. If the original picture is uploaded to this site by a resident artist you must have their permission to post the picture here
  • No Requests are allowed within any area of the gallery
Due to a large increase in the amount of traced/referenced artwork being uploaded accompanied by a sharp increase in the numebr of complaints from artists, any works which are traced/referenced from another picture MUST have a link to the original picture. You must also have the artist's permission if the picture you referenced was drawn by an Anime OTK Artist. Finally, you will not be allowed to have more than 10% (one in every ten) of the pieces of artwork you upload here as referenced/traced pieces.

Works that are traced/referenced and have no link to the original will be removed
Works that are traced/referenced from a picture drawn by an OTK artist without perission will be removed
If you have more than 10% of your pictures as traced/referenced artwork they will ALL be removed

When you say, "It also included computer generated or drawn images that look too real - eg images created by poser," I take it the deciding factor is the end product, not the tool used? I use Poser as one of my tools, but all of my artwork is deliberately made to look like line drawings. None of my spanking pictures resembles a photo at all.

if it looks real then its not allowed, however in general 3D is banned as a whole in order to distance from what UK law deems too real (due to the nature of some images here, ages would be hard to tell but so easy to misinterpret).

example of whats not allowed: http://www.millettech.com/admin/uplo...1245397136.jpg

I love that last bit

"When you are put in the corner, you stay there, unless you want a spanking.'

Brilliant
