Babysitting at the Gordons (For Matisse)

Inside a one-story home, Maria Gordon was inside her room still in her pajamas which consists of a light blue nightshirt that reaches her knees. The twelve-year-old was instructed by her mother to get changed to start the day but the girl had picked one a book from her bookshelf and just like that she was deep in the fantasy world of her book. Meanwhile, Mrs. Gordon was downstairs in the kitchen setting breakfast for her daughter before she had to go to work. She had recently gotten a good job but it would require her to get a sitter for Maria. After a few weeks of looking she had gotten a call from someone that was interested and she has instructed the person to come over today to begin.

A twenty six years old girl had just arrived outside the house, looking to meet Mrs. Gordon.
She was a quite tall woman, with long and rather wavy red hair that reached her bottom, dark blue eyes behind a pair of big round glasses, and a stern expression that would have been better suited on an older woman. She was wearing a white t-shirt, a pair of jeans and a pair of athletic shoes.
She rang the bell, waiting to be called inside.

The doorbell rings through the home however young Maria still doesn't move from her beanbag seat and continues reading. Back downstairs Mrs. Gordon opens the door to see the twenty-six-year-old girl. "Oh hello, you must be the one replying to the flier. Come in please." Mrs. Gordon said allowing her to come inside and leading her to the living room. "Nice to meet you, My name is Millie Gordon. Now the job is mostly to watch over my daughter Maria." Millie introduces herself to the woman.

The girl shook her hand, replying in a cordial but formal tone, without changing expression "Nice to meet you too, ma'am. Yes, I'm here for the baysitting job. My name is Mirabelle Mitchell."
She made herself comfortable in the living room, and added "I have quite the experience in dealing with kids. I've done a lot of works both as a babysitter and as a nanny. After college I worked at a kindergarten too, for some times. How old is Maria?"

"So you have experience with young children. The good to hear." Millie said. "Maria is twelve-year-old. She's somewhat of a quiet girl however she does have her moments of being a brat and does have a problem with swearing despite her young account. So if you have any problems with her you have my permission to take her over your knees, take down her knickers and spank her bottom." Millie explains using the word knickers revealing the ethic of the family.

[Matisse]

Mirabelle nodded, and said "I was just about to ask about discipline. I am convinced that a good spanking is the solution to many bad behaviors. Thank you for giving me your clearance about it."
Then she asked "Any other punishments I am authorized to administer? Early bedtime, corner time, mouthsoaping, writing lines? I will not use any you don't feel ok with. It's your daughter, and I respect your parental choices."

"Of course. She usually does get corner time after her spankings. Writing lines and mouth soaping I am okay with. Her bedtime is at 9 pm and she should be bathed at 8:30." Millie explains to Mirabelle. Looking at the clock she sees that she was starting to become late. "Maria, come down and meet your babysitter." Millie calls out to her daughter. Eventually, the sounds of footsteps begin to be heard and Maria arrives in the living room to see her mother and Mirabelle.

Mirabelle took out a block notes and wrote down the punishments Mrs. Gordon was ok with, nodding at every word.
When Maria arrived in the living room, the older girl made a step closer and in her usual serious tone introduced herself: "Hi, Maria. I'm Mirabelle, your new babysitter. But you will address me as miss or miss Mirabelle."

Maria was intimated by the woman in the serious tone who introduced herself however it wasn't much of a warm greeting. "N-nice to meet you." Maria replied to the greeting.

"Alright I have to go. Behave and stay safe. I'll be back tonight." Millie said as she then exits the home locking the door and leaving her daughter with the babysitter.

Mirabelle said goodbye to Millie, and once alone with Maria she looked at the girl, with a strict gaze.
"Why are you still in your pajamas?" she asked, sternly "It's late already. You should have already brushed your teeth and be in your daytime clothes."
