"If your going to rob a bank we have a problen and I am going to call my magical experts "Mischief".", he told her coldly.
"I don´t want to lecture you, but if your sorcery pals are criticizing you, maybe you ought to listen to them, or not?", Travis stated further. He didn´t exactly like that girl.
"Your really are just a brat. Goodbye.", he told her and turned away. What a horrible little girl. She did make a shit impression on him. And right now he just wanted to get going.
(Sorry for the short post )

(It's all good)
A couple of nights later, as he was out on the street patrolling. He would come across a low class villain. Not a high threat one, but more than what the police can handle. Yet this villain was not alone. It appears that he was in a fight with someone already. That somebody being the magical girl herself. From the looks of it, she was not doing well. She looked a little banged up and and had her staff in hand.
The eyes glowed on the carved rabbit on top of the staff. She spoke in a different tongue, twirled her staff around and summon a big gust of wind, making the villain crash into a building wall. Luckily it was abandoned so there was no one around to get hurt. Still this made the villain mad. This was a big fellow, bigger then most human men. He pounced on her and picks her up from the ground by the collar of her hoodie.

"Hey! Looks like we can´t help running into each other!", Cardinal told her in full, slightly upgraded costume. Travis wasn´t really mad at her anymore, maybe he could "fix" her. He was using a device to distort his voice now. Also Cardinal had added some armor so he wouldn´t get shot again. It slightly decreased the flexibility of the suit, but it was worth it.
The Exploder, the villain she was facing smirked, not expecting to get a drop on a magic user. He was shooting balls of explosive energy out of wrist mounted guns that were part of his yellow suit. The guy could do a lot of damage, but if you were very agile like Cardinal you would mostly be fine. That is unless you attacks made no damage and he would hit back fast, as the exploder was a huge guy.
"I thought you were really powerfull, what happened?", Cardinal said in a smartass kind of way, reminiscent of a certain spider themed hero from another comic universe. Cardinal tried to get close to Exploder and hit him where it hurt the most with his staff. That usually worked with big guys like him.

Mischief looks up and sees Cardinal. Voice sounded a bit different but the costume looked the same if not a little more up graded. She was roughly dropped onto the ground by The Exploder. She stand back up, stumbling a little bit. Grabbing her staff that she dropped.
"It's none of your business." she tells the hero in a rather annoyed tone. "She's right. It's none of your business." The Exploder said having a bit of an Aussie accent. "The little ankle biter and I have business so rack off!" he said as he attacks the hero.
With his focus now on Cardinal, the magical girl. tightly holds her staff, says a magical spell. Thunderous booms linger over them and soon lighting was shooting down from the sky. Problem is that it seemed the lighting was striking at random. Hitting the building a few times which caused some of it to crumble and fall. Luckily some of it actually hit The Exploder and knocked him out cold. Even with the enemy down the lighting continued to strike. Mischief eyes were glowing a lilac color as she chants the spell. It was like she was in some sort of trance and couldn't stop.

"Maybe. But I am making it my business!", Cardinal said, unfortunately his attacks proved ineffective for a while. Exploder defended himself well enough so he couldn´t land an effective blow with his staff. Thankfully Mischief cast a powerful spell and knocked the villain out. Still, Cardinal wasn´t happy about the collateral damage.
"Hey wake up!", he said, shaking her when he saw her in that trance. She´d have some explaining to do. In fact, he wondered if she´d ever been taken over a knee. That might be really good for her...and she still was in the right age, mature or not.

It took a moment but soon the lighting storm stopped and the sky clears. Mischief eyes goes back to normal and she wobbled on her feet. Using her staff to support herself. Blood starts to drip from her nose and the back of her throat, causing her to hack some the of the blood up. Using the sleeve of her hoodie to wipe her mouth.
She takes a look around and sees that the villain finally went down. "...Finally." she quietly mumbles from under her breath. She then takes a look at Cardinal and sees his hand on her. She shrugs off his hand and steps away from him. Looking pale in the face herself. "Well I'll just leave the rest to you. It's your job to take them away." she said as she slowly walks away from him. She used up to much of her magic today. She needed to go home and rest.

Cardinal noticed that the girl wasn´t feeling well and started feeling bad for her, despite the stuff she had wrecked. "Everything alright? When I give word I can get you treated by our people, probably better than patching yourself up yourself.", he advised, genuine emotion and concern in his voice, despite the distortion from the device.
He took a few steps in her direction, not sure if she would accept help. Mischief seemed the independant sort, but even a rebel needed some care every now and again. Cardinal meanwhile contacted the police, which would arrive in a couple of minutes with the equipment to take Exploder away.

When asked if she was okay she looks at him and there was a hint of embarrassment in her expression, but was clearing trying to hide it. "I'm fine. Just used more then I had." she softly mumbles. "I don't need anyone to patch me up. I got plenty of potions at home." she tells him in a soft shy voice. It was so strange to hear him talking to her in that tone. She was expecting a scolding like tone, but she could tell that he was actually concern about her.
Soon the police and a special task force that deal with taking villains like Explorer away. "Well I need to get going." she said. The eyes of her staff started to glow, but they were flickering. She looked pale and fell to her knees. Softly panting. Realizing she didn't even had enough magic to fly herself home.

(Sorry for the long break. Any idea where to take this story?)
"Whoa! Careful there...", Cardinal said and helped her up. "Are you sure your alright? Because it really seems like your in a bad shape. Maybe just a short check up would help you out? I promise we won´t try to keep you with us if you want to leave...", he offered. The young hero knew she was suspicious but tried his best to sound trustworthy.
