Elizabeth strode out into the night, the city of Boston was old enough that the scent of ages lay upon it and excited her eldritch sensibilities. The snow was falling lightly on the ground, and the city, awash in electronic light and covered in the icy white substance looked clean and peaceful for once. It was a good night for hunting.

She was a tall, impressive figure with long bright crimson hair, and a athletic, curvy shape, contained in a long trench-coat and a wide brimmed hat that were spotless and white.

She stalked the alleys,her white leather boots clacking on the asphalt, she hungered for blood this night, and she would be satisfied.

In an ally way, a nine-year-old boy was scrounging for food. His name was Joseph, and he was an orphan. He was unhealthily skinny and short for his age. Not finding anything in the ally, he groaned and tripped, knocking over one of the trash cans, which landed with a loud BANG!

Finally! The first victim of the night, with a growl and a leap, Elizabeth cleared the alley and landed next to the trashcan, her white trench coat folding about her like wings, her long red hair falling to her waist.

The tender, starving boy she found shivering behind the trashcan both dissapointed her and caused a stirring of pity."Boy! Why are you skulking in an alley back here? Your mother must be worried sick about you."

Joseph looked up at her, blinking in bewilderment. Who was this lady, and where had she come from?! “I don’t have a Mommy...” he shiver and told her in a quiet, fearful voice. “P-please don’t hurt me!”

Eliza put her hands on her hips and blew a stray strand of hair from her face. "Of course you have a mother child, everyone does, now where is she and why are you wandering out in the street in the cold? I'm not going to hurt you, but I will get you put back home." She said this last bit sternly, not in the mood to play games.

The boy looked unhealthy and smelled of desperation, he was pale though that could just be the cold, and in bad need of a haircut.

“I don’t have one anymore...” Joseph sniffed. “She’s gone now...” he lowered his head and began to cry, falling to his knees. He hadn’t thought about his mother sence she died.

Eliza kneeled down next to him and pulled his shuddering form close. "There there little one, I didn't know, I'm sorry. You can't stay out here though you'll freeze to death..."

She considered, things were complicated back at the coven right now, so many political problems, so many hot headed fledglings. But at least it was comparatively warm. "Would you like to come home with me little one? Come home with Auntie Eliza?"

Joseph was surprised when she pulled him against her, but instinctively snuggled into her relative warmth. He looked up at her in surprise, “you would let me come with you? I would like that.” He held onto her and tried to keep warm.

She picked him up, he was so light it was easy, and tucked her coat around him. "Yes lets' get you in out of the cold, and get some food in you, and then we'll see what we can do with you."

Little Joseph nodded, gratitude and adoration shining up at her from his hazel (green/blue depending on outfit) eyes. His short curly brown hair was an absolute mess as well. He walked with her as swiftly as his weak body would allow.
