Just a few more smacks followed, leaving a bright pink glow to his bottom. She didn't want to really tan his hide - he'd never get to sleep. But enough to really put some sting there.

"Okay, I believe you."

And with that, she wrapped the towel up around him and helped him to his feet, hugging him.

Chad tried to wrap himself up in the towel as best he could and snuggled deeply into Janet's chest, needing comfort. He tried his best not to glance over at his smirking older sister.

A few moments later, Flo got out of the bath herself.

Janet continued to hold and hug Chad, rubbing him down at the same time to help dry him off.

"It's okay. I hope you've really learned from this one, and next time you'll get ready for bed straight away. I'm fine with letting you read or play games in bed for a little while, after all. And by the way..."

She looked over to Flo.

"I was hoping you both would feel sorry for one another when spanked. Please, don't smirk like that, it's not nice. I know you care about each other, so you shouldn't delight in each other being punished."

Of course, on some level she knew that wouldn't change - and that regardless, they did still care about one another. She knew that at some point, probably multiple times, they would both end up getting punished for delighting in each other's spankings.

Flo was caught off-guard by the caution Janet gave her, and only had time to mumble a little "Sorry". Chad felt a little satisfaction in his sister getting told off, although there was still the issue of his hurting bottom.

Once the two had finished drying themselves, they changed into their pajamas and headed for their new bedrooms.

Janet sighed as she placed the clothes and towels in the washing-up basket. One day was nearly complete, and they had survived, to an extent. She then made her way to Flo's room.

"Okay... today could have been better but it wasn't that bad. I know it's going to be hard to get used to everything, but this could also be an adventure of sorts. Do you think you'll be okay living with me?"

"I....I think so," she said, "It's just....well, we've never been away from our mother this long before. But....well, since you know Mom, I guess we'll be OK."

Janet gave Flo a small smile.

"Your mother wouldn't leave you with someone she didn't trust. I promise I'll try to have life going back to normal for you both and everything will be okay. Good night."

She kissed Flo's forehead, then went to check on Chad.

"So... how are we settling in? Looking forward for a better day tomorrow?"

Flo smiled too, and then lay down, gently closing her eyes.

Chad wasn't exactly in the best of moods. Trying to get comfortable on a freshly spanked bottom was never fun.

"It had better be a better day tomorrow," he muttered.
