Everyday fatherly duties (with Sarah Young)

[Barbossasdaughter]

A little 8 year old girl was still soundly sleeping in her bed. She was a bit small for her age, had shoulder long brown hair and grey-blue eyes. Her name was Sandy and she was the daughter of Mr. Gold. The very Mr. Gold who owned most of Storybrooke.

Sandy was a playful child, though could be mischievous at times. Like other children as well. She was not bad, she just sometimes forgot rules or overstepped boundaries. Even if it earned her trouble with her dear papa, one thing was sure: She loved him like no one else!

It was morning and she stirred awake as she heard some birds outside her window which twittered around. Her room was of middle size, posters of dragons were on her wall. A shelf with fairy tale books was there as well as a toy chest full of toys.

The youngster sat up and rubbed her eyes as she noticed someone standing at the foot of her bed. "Mhn...papa?"

With crossed arms and a quirked eyebrow, Papa stared back at her.

"Good Morning, Buttercup", said in a droll tone, "Guess who I just got off of the phone with?"

[Barbossasdaughter]

Little Sandy saw her papa's look and he seemed not happy. His cane was leaning against her bed. She knew it well after all, he used it to walk with it as he had a slight limp. The youngster looked quite puzzeled. "On the phone? Who phoned you this morning papa?" Sandy always refered to Mr. Gold as her papa. It was a little quirk of hers.

Sitting on the end of her bed he looks at her closely.

"None other than your teacher. She was calling to ask me if I had had a chance to sign your tardy slipS yet. Since I drop you off at school myself I wonder how that happened. Also, she asked me if I am "feeling better"....am I ill, dear?

[Barbossasdaughter]

Sandy gripped her bedsheet. She looked at her father. Oh dear. Mr. Gold brought Sandy indeed to school. But instead of going to her class, she often went to the nearby playground and often forgot time. In an attempt to save herself, she told Miss Blanchard that her father was not feeling well those last days and that his leg was playing tricks on him.

The little one was caught. "Mmmm...n..not really papa. B..but sometimes your leg acts up a bit..so I told her that. A...and uhm.." She fumbled at her jammies "maybe I came a bit..too late because I played at the playground and forgot time..."

His eyes crackle like they are prone towards when he is irritated.

"So you have been playing on the playground instead of going right into class, and when caught you lied to your teacher? What happens to disobedient lying little girls in this household, little girl?" She knows it's a spanking for being naughty and always the switch for lying but he finds the lesson STICKS better when she has to tell him out loud herself.

Sandy gulped as she saw the look. She gripped tighter on her jammies and looked quite worried. "Ohoo..papa..I.." But she had to answer or it would be worse. Sandy knew very well what happened to naughty girls. Her voice grew squeaky as she uttered:"T..they get a spankin'..." It was nearly a squeaky whisper.

"And for lying...?" He asked firmly.

[Barbossasdaughter]

She looked down. "A..switchin'.." She then looked up with teary eyes. "But papa! It was only one...two ...i mean I w..won't do it again!" She pleaded at him and crawled towards him. She hugged him. "Please papa!"
Little Sandy thought that bad things could simply be done with a sorry and a hug.

He peeled Sandy off of him. "Sandy, you know that Papa loves you VERY much and we will have plenty of time for cuddles later. But right now..." He helped her to stand up. "You are going to go into Papa's office and wait in the corner while I go to the yard and get ready for your switching. Move!" He gave her bottom a healthy "SMACK" toward the door.
