Jiro reached up to rest his hand on her head when she laid it on his shoulder, feeling oddly protective of her in that moment which he didn't really understand since he didn't typically like children but she was growing on him the longer he spent time with her despite her being a bit of a spitfire sometimes. He let her go when she stood and fixed her skirt, nodding when she assured him she would behave and then smirked when she sat and hissed. "C'mere" He said, lifting her up again to sit on his lap since at least that way she could be comfortable and wouldn't need to sit on her sore backside.

Kai stopped talking when the man put a finger to his lips, looking up at him as he was told that he would already be killed if he were a demon and that made him a little uneasy just because of how serious and dangerous Ryo sounded when he said it but he nodded anyway since it was strangely reassuring at the same time. Then his stomach growled and he pressed his hand to it, shaking his head when they asked if he'd been fed much since he hadn't and then his eyes widened when he was handed a purse full of money, "That's a lot of money, I don't need to eat that much..." He said, not realizing that things were different now and he did in fact need to eat a lot. "You're not hungry?" He asked a few moments later, mostly because he didn't want to go down to the food car by himself but he would if Ryo insisted.

Maya made a surprised squeak when she was lifted up and sat in the mans broad lap "T-Thanks" she said cheeks turning a little red out of embarrassment,she wasn't used to getting any positive attention at all. Before Jiro had found her Maya had made a name for herself on the streets as a brawler....she had to or she would have fallen victim to it herself.



"I'm not but you can place a order and have it brought back here" Ryo said offering him a warm smile "Just remember what I said about sweets when you order,it just one cart away and I can see you from here" he said rubbing the boy head "I need to write a quick letter so while you get food I will do so"

Jiro nodded when she thanked him but he didn't make a big deal out of it, able to tell from her reddened cheeks that she was embarrassed so he didn't want to make that worse. Instead he just sat there and held her for a bit before he started to speak to her, telling her stories about being an exorcist and what the training was going to be like so that she wouldn't be surprised when they got to HQ and the last thing he told her about was Hevlaska who would be checking the girl once they arrived to inform them about her sync level and explained what that meant. By the time he finished the trains whistle could be heard in the distance and he looked happy about that. "And that would be our train, grab your things" He ordered, standing and picking up his own heavy pack as he waited for her to get her things and the grocery bag from earlier.

Kai nodded when he was informed that he could have his food delivered here, looking relieved since even though he dind't know Ryo well he did at least know the man and Ryo had given him no reason to be afraid of him so far so he was much more comfortable with him than by himself in the food cart. He nodded again when the man reminded him about the sweets, "Yes Exorcist Ryo, thank you" he said softly, not sure what to call the man so he went with his formal title as he slid off the mans lap and made his way to the food cart. He looked at the menu and ordered a moderate sized meal, something he would have eaten happily before his power awakened, and then headed back to the car to take a seat across from his new master and wait, not yet realizing that the food he ordered wouldn't be close to enough and he'd just be making another trip soon. "What are you writing?" He asked out of curiosity, wanting to sneak a peek but he was too far away to read it and he knew that was rude anyway so he just asked and kicked his feet idly as he waited to see if the man would answer him.

Maya was engrossed with the stories more then ready to start her training and get a better grasp on the shadow manipulation she possessed,quickly grabbing her things when the train whistle blew and ran onto the train not wanting to miss it this time,storing all her things under her seat before sitting down with a grunt


"Just a note to the order to make sure they know that it wasn't an Akuma and rather a new student" Ryo said pull a small white ball from his pocket and stuffing the note inside carefull before throwing it out the train window,the ball growing wings and zipping off towards the nearest exorcist communications outpost "You should know,a parasite type like yourself has to eat not only for yourself but for the parasite as well,more you use it more you need to eat" he explained

Jiro was amused by how easy it was to get her attention when he was telling her something exciting, and he filed that away for later since he had a feeling that it would make her easier to deal with when he actually did have to train her. When the train arrived he followed her inside, wandering through the carts until he located her and took a seat across from her after storing his things in the overhead compartment, grabbing hers as well to put them up there since it closed so the stuff would stay put. "We should reach the Order by the end of the day, hopefully" He said, unaware that they were not the only pair of exorcists on this train.

Kai lost interest in the note when Ryo told him what it was and nodded and looked out the window, though he looked much more interested when he saw Ryo stuffing the note into a ball and toss it out the window. He watched, amazed as it sprouted wings and zipped off and that got him to actually drop his jaw as he stared at it. "How'd you do that?" he asked, thinking it was some sort of magic. Then he listened as the man told him that he needed to eat a lot more now and frowned, "That why my stomach hurts so bad all the time now?" He asked, looking over at one of the staff as a woman brought him his order. "Thank you, ma'am" he said quietly, showing that he had manners and the woman smiled at him before leaving and he tucked into the food with a vengeance, forgetting his table manners since he was so hungry.

Maya nodded "Is it alright if I take a nap?" she asked leaning up against the wall,closing her eyes just to rest them regardless of if she was allowed to sleep or not,she was worn out from the day with all her running and then her crying after getting spanked for the first and hopefully the last time.

"Its called a Golem,they are machines designed to be messengers for us" Ryo said ruffling the boys hair "You may want to go order some more,you are going to still be hungry" he said when he seen the small amount of food,clearing his throat a little "Table manners Kai,you are and exorcist not a pig"

Jiro nodded when Maya asked if she could take a nap, not minding what she did as long as she behaved herself. "Yes, it'll be a good six hours or so before we get there so you may as well rest, it's quite a climb to get to the Order" he said, since he was planning on making her go the hard route up the mountain instead of through the underground tunnels just to see how she'd handle the challenge. He looked out the window as she rested, thinking about the girl and how he was going to train her and since he was the type that didn't ever take things easy he was planning on pushing her hard right from the start and they'd be starting the next day whether she was tired or not.

Kai thought that the Golem was really cool and he was about to ask if he could have one too but then Ryo ruffled his hair and he forgot about it, "Hey!" He protested, reaching up to fix his hair since his image was actually important to him despite him only being eight. He nodded when Ryo told him that he should order more food and then blushed when he was scolded about his table manners. "Sorry" He said forcing himself to slow down and once he finished it he hopped up to head back to the dining car to order more food but hesitated. "Can I order dessert as long as I don't get a lot?" He asked, since he of course liked sweets like all kids and since Ryo didn't seem to mind that he was going to be eating a lot he was thinking that Ryo may not care what he ate either.

Maya was soon out like a light having completely shut down from the long day and the fact that her body was still recovering from her first awakening of her innocence so she needed sleep,having already eaten a hole in Jiros pocket when she had to refill her stomach after her sudden activation


Ryo smirked glad to have found a pet peeve of the boy,making a mental note of it and tapping his chin a few times when the boy asked about dessert "Hmmm two desserts are fine,so long as they aren't super big but I also want you to get some more healthy food as well,you need to fill up"

Jiro smiled when he saw how quickly she fell asleep and he stood to take his coat off and draped it over her before sitting down again and pulling a book out of his pocket to amuse himself with until she woke back up. He was looking forward to returning to the Order so that he could finally let his guard down a little bit after a rather long mission where he had to be on guard all the time.

Kai was not going to be a happy little guy if Ryo kept ruffling his hair now that the man knew it bugged him, but since he had no idea that his new master was filing that away he couldn't get upset about it. He asked if he could have dessert and fidgeted as Ryo thought about it for a few moments and was sure the man would say no so when Ryo told him it was okay he smiled and nodded at the rule about getting healthy food too. "Yes sir, thanks!" He said cheerfully as he hurried to order more food. He made sure to get some healthy foods and when he returned this time the staff brought out a lot of plates of food and he once again tucked into them, but this time he watched his manners. It took a while but he managed to eat everything and then he ate his desserts which were cake and chocolate pudding and normal size.

(So I think we will just let Jiro and Maya ride it out till the HQ)



"You should get some rest when you get done" Ryo said pulling his robe off and setting it to the side so he could relax "We won't reach the order till nightfall so you should get as much sleep as you can now,once we get there we will be starting your training first thing"
