Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising.
Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts)
Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising.
Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

A theme and a deadline is given. Game developers make a game on that theme. Since this is spanking site, it will be a spanking game. Which game engine they use is up to them.
Last time the theme was mistaken identity. The deadline was one month, but not many people finished the game they started.

hi guys my only suggestion is to take also the old themes that were proposed passed years but didn't pass. just to give them another chance.

I think we're focusing on theme a littlr to much, the big thing we should discuss is when we should start the jam and for how long should it run

I was thinking we give two weeks? Maybe a month.

I did the game jam last year and also I've submitted to several sfw game jams. I'd say in terms of theme - going wide is best. Just a random word that can be interpreted in many ways is probably easiest, for example the word 'authority.'
In terms of time - probably about a month is best.

I think a month is a little too short. Last years was only a month and it didn't get a lot of entries. Maybe this year we try two or three months?

I think it should be 2weeks to a month for voting and advertisement of the game jam, and a 2 month duration of the game jam itself. I suspect that a majority of people wanting to participate all have other commitments other than game development. This should give more people the time they need and perhaps a greater turnout.
