Half of one, half of another (Open to all!)

Heaven was a land where the angles lived. Hell was where the demons were. Earth was somewhere in between and Purgatory was out there. he didn't belong in any of them, yet the igher powers had proclaimed that his place was ehre, in heaven, among his half-bretheren... they could have easily sent him to hell. He was, after all, half an angel and half a demon.

The ultimate taboo, he was an outcast whereever he was, though he was gentle and kindhearted. Ashra was his name and he was a cross of demon and angle blood. His wings were pure snow white, but his eyes were a flaming red and his arms were that of a demons, green and scaly, four clawed fingers on each hand. His arms were much stronger and slightly larger than the rest of his body as well... and his skin was also bright and pale like the rest of the angles.

An outcast, loved by few and respected by even fewer, he kept to himself mostly, in the quiet flower gardens of the outer heaven, near the gates. It was where he was now, smiling as the butterflies settled on his grotuesque arms only to fly away again when they realized what they had found was not a flower.

The sun glistened brightly off the snowy white wings of the girl as she walked peacefully along the dirt road that snaked through the near maze of garden in outer heaven. It was a quiet and usually empty place, somewhere that was good to think and be at peace with one's surroundings. The utter beauty of the land didn't exactly take away from the charm of the area either.

A smile small crept across the young yet mature face of the angel, her steps nearly inaiduble. She was pale but not in a sickly matter, her red lips standing out on her peaceful features, The girl's blonde was hung just above the nape of her neck, something different in heaven as most simply allowed their hair to grow out as long as it desired. A snowy white gown covered the girl's body as she stepped tenderly down the path, not wearing shoes on the soft, dirt road.

The girl's blue eyes looked out into a single garden, noting a figure sitting in the flowers quietly. She squinted to see who it was but did not recognize the figure until she got closer and was able to make out the scaley arms and, as she got closer, the beastly red eyes. She knew this person, not personally but by reputation. He was an outcast and a half-angel. Someone she'd never intended to grow axquanted with.

Swallowing hard, the girl continued down the path, half hoping the thing would not notice her arrival.

Asha's ears twitched and he looked up. "Hmm?" he smiled slightly when he saw someone there. An angle he had yet to meet. He was not very old himself by angleic terms, only about a century... a fledgeling, they would call him. "Oh hello!" he called out. "I am sorry, was I in your way?" he asked, noticing how she backed away slowly. "I can move if you would prefer!"

The female paused as she walked away, biting her lip and sighing as she turned around, putting on the best smile she could and shaking her head.

"Oh no, you're not in my way at all." She said with a light bow, "Just taking a stroll." She said with a light smile as she continued walking.

Ashra nodded and spread his wings a little, working out the stiffness that had built up from his sitting in one position for so long. "Yes, it is such a nice day for one, isn't it?" He chuckled a little bit and flapped his wings, drawing a little closer to her. He was roughly her height, maybe any inch or so higher, though his large arms made him seem far more intimidating. "Tell me, what part of heaven do you reside in? I have not yet seen your face here before."

"I don't come this far out that often, only on nice days such as these." She said with a light smile, turning to speak with him fully as not to seem rude. "I live a ways from here. I beleive I've seen you around a few times."

Ashra nodded slowly. He lived out here, in outer heaven, near the gardens... he was actually charged with the tasks of keeping them healthy, which suited him just fine. It left him little time for interaction, which no one was keen on giving him in the first place. "Well, yes... I often come into central heaven for a little bit..." He came there for a good meal now and then, and maybe a drink or two. The denizens of heaven were banned from alcohol, but there were many good drinks for them to try.

"I see. I live a little on the outsider of the Center. My father works as one of the protectors of the halls inside the city so I must live close." She said with a brief proud grin, always happy to talk about her successful father.

Ashra nodded gently. "Your father... yes, I remember now... one of the protectors! Ah, he was the one who games me this." He pointed to a jagged scar along his right arm, up to the elbow and laughed lightly. "I had forgotten that I am not allowed to enter such places without approval from a seraphim..."

The girl blinked lightly, "Oh, my." She stared at the scar and put a hand over her mouth in brief shock. She knew her father was a strict protector and that he had done his duty on many indiviudals but she had never met one in person. "W-What did you do to deserve that... What was your name?" She asked him, still looking at the scar.
