Tonraq couldn't help but be surprised. His wife seemed so much better at this than he was! He would have to rant and rave, shout and yell for what seemed an eternity to get this kind of response from Korra! It just didn't seem fair... though, luckily, Korra's back was to him, so she couldn't see his look of wonder.

Senna continued in her even tone, having decided that an air of disappointment and regret might serve her purpose better, "You said that the last time, too. Really, Korra, I would like nothing more than to believe you, but when you keep saying one thing, but doing the opposite I..." she shook her head, "I just don't know. Do you remember what I told you would happen the last time we had this very conversation?"

"That you would punish me" she said blushing and looked down uncomfortably. She sighed she knew it had to hhappen she did disobey them for some time now.

Senna nodded. "That's right. So... so go to your room and get ready for bed. Your father and I have a few things to discuss before we... see to your punishment." She pointed towards the door to the girl's room, as if to indicate that the time for discussion was over. In fact, they hadn't every really planned for things going this far, but they had only a short time to reach a mutual decision, and the sooner they got started on that, the sooner this could all be over.

"Yes mom" she said and sighed walking to her room to go get ready for bed and change into her pajamas. She also let her hair down and brushed her hair and teeth before going to bed.

After she'd gone, and making sure the bedroom door was closed behind her, Senna and Tonraq looked at each other from across the room. Simultaneously, they shrugged at each other.

"I'll handle it," they said in unison.

"No, it's better if I do it," they said again at the same time after a pause.

Tonraq sighed and shook his head, "Flip a coin?"

Senna shook her head, "No, I really think it will be better if I take care of this, because that way we still have a... path of escalation, if necessary. Spirits grant that it won't be!" Tonraq thought about that and then nodded, moving to lift his wife in a hug before the two of them went off to their own bedroom. Senna, however, came back out a few moments later, taking a deep breath to steel herself for the necessary, but unpleasant, parental duties to come.

Centered and ready, she strode to Korra's room, knocking twice before opening the door, not waiting for a response. Stepping in, she left the door behind her ajar, setting the candle she carried on the dresser before dragging the chair from under the desk to the center of the room, taking a seat. "Come on," she commanded, patting her lap, "Up with you. You've had this coming for awhile now, and I'm sorry we took so long to realize that."

Korra looked up from her bed when her mother walked in and dragged her chair into the middle of the room. "Come on mom, I'm 13 I'm too old for a spanking" she said as she stared at her mother. She huffed and crossed her arms defiantly.

"And we'd also thought you old enough to know when to mind your parents," Senna scolded, "So apparently we're both wrong."

"Come over here," she patted her lap again, "Now. Let's not make this any more difficult that it already is. If I have to come over there to drag you out of bed, you are certainly not going to like what comes afterwards." Senna had thought this might happen, defiance even to this stage, and had come prepared to deal with that, too. Tonraq was not always so good at thinking on his feet, preferring to have a plan ahead of time and follow it through, despite any difficulties or resistance. It was not hard to see where Korra got her stubborn attitude.

She huffed and sighed as she walked over to her mother and went over her lap obviously not pleased.

Senna positioned the girl properly, comfortably, or, at least, as comfortably as possible for what was to come, commenting on the huff, "You have only yourself to blame for your predicament."

Up came the hem of her nightgown...

"Had you only done as you were told, we'd not be here now, would we?"

... and down slid her panties, "Or even kept the promises you made the last time you got in trouble for this very thing, you'd not be getting a spanking now, would you?" Senna punctuated the last question with a sharp swat to Korra's bottom, the imprint of her palm a slightly deeper shade against the tan of her daughter's flesh in the candlelight. A moment later, another smack echoed in the room as Senna spanked the other cheek, falling into a steady rhythm of firm, stinging slaps to the girl's upturned backside.
