Seth smirked a little, pretending not to notice her. He slowed down and landed, allowing her to catch up.

Just ahead, the two Melchiahim were arguing over who got to feed on their sobbing, pleading captive first. The two vampires were a ghoulish sight, wearing rotted grave clothes and with decaying skin. Their eyes glowed red, and their fangs showed even when they closed their mouths.

"What do you think you are doing?" Seth said casually. Without turning he added, "Come out Rinna, I know you followed me."

The Melchiahim hissed, but didn't attack yet.

Rinna bit her lip softly, but walked out without saying a word, standing behind Seth.

One of the Melchiahim ran towards Rinna, claws extended.

"Mind the claws Rinna." Seth said casually as his 'daughter' was attacked. "If you cannot overcome a fledgling Melchiahim, you have no hope of survival as a vampire."

Rinna stepped to the side and quickly aimed a knee to the attacker's stomach.

The Melchiahim doubled over in pain. Clearly the girl was stronger then she appeared.

"Melchiahim can move through earth and stone as easily as you can walk, so watch for ambushes." Seth called to her as the other Melchiahim burst from the ground behind her.

Rinna did a backflip over the Melchiahim, then aimed a sideways punch to the back of its head

The corpse-like vampire grabbed her wrist and began to pull her beneath the ground.

"I'll eat you alive..." It whispered in her ear, only to be choked as Seth pulled the both of them up.

"I said watch your back." He scolded, handing Rinna a steak he had broken off from a tree branch. "Aim for the heart."

Rinna tensed up a bit, but rammed the stake through its chest.

The Melchiahim screeched and collapsed, lifeless.

"Seems the other one has gotten away." Seth said casually. "At least you saved one of our humans though." He knelt before the Melchiahim motioning Rinna closer.

"He isn't really dead you see." Seth explained. "His spirit is watching us right now from the netherwold. If this stake were ever to be removed he would immediatly return to life." To illustrate he pulled the stake out slightly, before ramming it back in as the vampire began to twitch. "What's more, with time a vampire's spirit can adapt to the netherworld, gaining the ability to feed on souls. At that point if the stake were removed the vampire would no longer need to drink human blood, instead feeding on souls in it's physical form. Such a creature is a predator of both humans and vampires, and exceedingly dangerous."

"The only way to destroy a vampire is decapitation, complete immersion in water except for the aquatic Rahabim clan, or fire." He explained. "If the clouds made by Kain's factories break, the sun would burn him as well."

He stood Rinna up. "So, what do you want to do with the body? It's your kill after all."

Rinna nodded as things were explained to her. When asked about the body, she thought a moment. "Can we burn it?" She asked, blinking a couple times.
