I love MMOs I first started with WoW on my shitty laptop *shutters* never again... 12 FPS... I can't believe I played that way for so long... Then I finally got a desktop and I was able to play MMOs a little better. I lost interest in WoW and shifted to The Old Republic which was so awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with that for a few months before I got bored of that and then I went back to WoW when Mists of Pandaria came out. So far this is the best WoW expansion Blizzard's ever made. Oh I also got a new graphics card for Christmas from my best friend so now I also play Tera and that is going free to play on Feb 5.

I play more MMOs than is probably healthy. EQ2 and Tera right now, but I also have (currently inactive) accounts in Rift, Star Wars: The Old Republic and Vanguard: Saga of Heroes (which sucks)... and I used to play Lineage II, but I quit that game years and years ago.

I miss City of Heroes. It's character customization was so awesome. These days I only play free to play MMOs (though it does look like that's becoming the norm) and right now the only one I'm playing is Guild Wars 2. Not very much, admittedly, but I do like the game. I just keep bouncing around between stuff.
But, I do have to say, not having a subscription is so liberating. I don't feel bad for not playing. That was always my biggest issue with subscription MMOs. If I was paying for the game I felt obligated to play it above all else. I feel so free now.

Play FFXI on a daily basis. Tried Star Trek but couldn't get into. Watched a lot of WOW over the shoulder. Been told to try others but when you are hooked on one I tend not to jump ship unless something REALLY catches my attention.

I was a huge fan of Phantasy Star Online & I played it quite a lot with a few friends on the Gamecube. It is a shame that I missed all of the online fun, though. I did not even get to play Blue Burst but in any case, I am eagerly waiting for the North American release of Phantasy Star Online 2; I have heard many good things about the Japanese Closed BETA.
One MMORPG I really wish Japan could share is the Monster Hunter MMO. It looks bloody wicked, I tell you. Of course, you have to be a fan of the other games to understand what all the excitement is about.
Finally, I am also restless for the new-and-improved FFXIV. I played it when it was originally released, however the general opinion was that the game was a failure. Now, with all of the hard work and money Square Enix put into it, it will most likely be a game capable of giving World of Warcraft & Guild Wars II a run for their money.
Just in case some people look into this thread to hopefully find something new to play, here are some fun MMO's to look into: Eden Eternal, PBE Reloaded, Wakfu, Blade & Soul, Vindictus (Mabinogi was already mentioned, after all), Hawken, Wizardry Online.

I've played far more than I really should care to admit, but for the sake of the conversation I'm gonna go through them.
- EverQuest (Played way back when I was about 14-15)
- EverQuest II (Thought it looked cooler that EQ1. Was fun, but not nearly as engaging I thought)
- Final Fantasy XI (Played for about 6 months then had my harddrive die, so I never got back into it)
- Ragnarok Online (Feeding the habit after having to quit FFXI on another PC)
- City of Heroes (admittedly, only a 14 day free trial of it, but was fun)
- Dungeons & Dragons Online (played with friends for about a year, then got bored when they all left)
I'm now currently into Guild Wars 2 (some friends coerced me to join them and I'm sadly and amusingly hooked like no other ). Never got into WoW, but in general I'm into the sword and sorcery style games (CoH excluded... though that's defunct now so whatever).
