Little Troll: More than meets the eye

“That is alright.” Arlo answered unbothered though the more he looked around, the more he saw then just the lawncare was off, though he reminded himself not to judge at first impression, which is tough not to do, but he actively tried.

Inside the house, two young adults dressed in casual clothing lounge on the couch together watching some race car driving, they had an empty medium box of pizza on the floor, not being the most motivated to clean up right sway but they did clean just not having the maturity to plan ahead. Plus in their eyes, they worked hard, so at home they relaxed!

“You hear that?” Luna asked her husband Ren, “The kid is back.”

“Shit, we forgot to save her pizza again.” Ren muttered glancing at the empty box, that happened a lot to poor Sora.

“Ah well, there is stuff in the fridge, now which one of us is gonna let her in?” Luna wondered focusing on the T.V.

“Well, rock-paper-scissors?” so the two did one round and Luna lost.

“Damn, but on a commercial it is in three mins, I’ll do it then.”

So poor Sora was right in her prediction.

Sora, perceptive thing that she was, noticed Arlos look at the lawn and shrugged. "We sometimes cut it but not always...",she said simply. The girl did get mad at her parents not opening however so she knocked again, harder. "Hey open up, I know you are there!", Sora shouted until she gave up. "Parents...", she grumbled. It was hard to tell if the situation was funny or worrying.

"Sure, I understand that." Arlo instantly commented not wanting the young girl to feel uneasy about her house or lawn. The brunette raised an eyebrow to himself as Sora continued to try to get her parents attention. It was hard to judge if this was some ritual, a game or something a bit more sad? Hard to pinpoint on a first impression, that was for sure. Either way, Arlo decided to step in and help.
Stepping up, he rapped his knuckles on the door, clearing his throat.

"Good evening, I'm Arlo Oakley from down the street, I wanted to walk Sora home."

Luna groaned getting sick of her daughters yelling anyways now a neighbor was here? At least they did not seem pissy like some neighbors that venture here. Pulling herself up, she rushed to the door, commercials were on! Tugging open the door, she gave a glance at both Arlo and Sora.

"Hey kid, come in, the race is on." she pushed the little girl through since they did not pay much attention they had not gather Sora does not even like the races and after a backwards glance to the T.V. Her eyes flicked briefly to Arlo.

"Thanks." came the mutter and a hasty close of the door.

Arlo stood on the porch for a moment taken aback then slowly turned and walked his way back home <That... all that was a very interesting encounter>.
