Default Mutant Mayhem

It was a warm evening in Shibuya Toyko. In the busy streets of the city a strange Gaijin was strolling around confidently, taking in the scenery. German-American in fact. His name was Andrew Trask, or Shadowwolf as he was called by his people - the mutants of the world. He was an impressively tall man, wearing a denim jacket and his black hair long. On his masculine chin was a light stubble and he radiated machismo in a good, comforting way, his warm, almost fiery amber eyes adding to the impression. Andrew was exceptionally handsome, except for his hands which were a little too big, sinewy and ended in big black nails. The mutant was used to being looked at strangely and didnīt mind it, even when people whispered "Gaijin" and "mutant". Suddenly, as if deliberately, Andrew stopped at a busker and tipped him. "Excuse me...have you seen this girl? I was informed sheīd be around.", he asked, pointing at a photo. The busker made an embarrased face, said "arigato" for the tip but said in broken English that he didnīt understand him. Andrew was a little frustrated but knew this wasnīt going to be easy. Then he suddenly saw his target in the crowd a few metres away. "Well, Iīll be damned!", he said glad and ran towards her, determined not to loose her in the crowd. He wanted to recruit the girl for "the farm" in texas. A special preserve for mutants. It wasnīt the most luxurious place in the world but it was safe for mutants, where they were among their kind. The kid didnīt know yet that she was chosen for this honor, so he might have to do a little convincing. Too bad he didnīt really speak Japanese, but if she had gone to school recently she should have a decent handle of English.

The girl in question that Shadowwolf was following and looking for was named Kamoto Ikku, A junior high student who had long shoulder length black hair and currently walking through the bustling street to get home doing her best not to stand out. Since she had just gotten out of school, she was currently wearing her school uniform which consisted of a white top, dark blue skirt, matching, dark blue navy socks, and white shoes while carrying her shoulder strap bag. Thankfully at this time of day, the majority of people all knew where they were heading and there wasn't that much issues in terms of traffic jams or hold ups which was good for her since it just meant getting home quicker. As she walked along the sidewalk, Kamoto felt uneasy being outdoors with so many people about, the reason being was her being a mutant. About seven months ago, while alone she stumbled upon her unique ability and has kept it secret from everyone around her, minus close family members, and she knew that if news broke it would change her life as she knew it. As she focus solely on getting home, she didn't even took notice of the quickening approach of Shadowwolf towards her.

Shadowwolf soon blocked her way, but tried not to be intimidating, which wasnīt easy for a guy his size. He hoped she would quickly sense though that he was no threat. "Hello, kiddo.", he greeted her friendly,"My name is Andrew, or Shadowwolf for most people. Say, have you heard about the mutant preserve in the US? Its a safe place for us mutants to be, with no discrimination and stuff. Youīll like it.", he tried to explain. But he was more a man of action then a negotiator. This was really kind of awkward."If its okay Iīd like to come with you and explain everything to your folks. You arenīt scared, right?", he asked, still very friendly.

Kamoto had to stop herself when she almost collided with a figure that suddenly obstructed her path. It wasn't until she heard a voice which made her look up and saw Shadowwolf's face. She was silent while listening to him speak and while she wasn't the best at english, she did understand the majority of what he said, wanting her to come with him somewhere and even talking to her family. Even if the words he was using didn't sound threatening at all, the meer presence of the man was enough to make her nervous. To make matters even worse for her, once people took notice of Shadowwolf speaking to her, even more whispers started to spread, none of which good for Kamoto. Some even stopped in their tracks to stare at the two of them. Kamoto took noticed out of the corner of her eyes and thought of a plan to get herself away from the man. "Sorry. I don't want to talk. Goodbye." She said with a nervous tone doing her best to cut the conversation as quickly as she could. She might not speak English as fluently as she wished, but she thankfully knew enough to carry through a decent conversation. She then does her best to go around Shadowwolf and continue walking home, although now after that little run in, she might just start walking faster. Although even after that, she had a feeling that the man wasn't going to let her get far and wouldn't take no for an answer.

"I...I have to insist!", Andrew said, somewhat nervously and touched the girls shoulder as she was about to get away. Oh this was really not going well. He was reminded that he wasnīt the greatest speaker. What did they think making him a "recruiter"? Obviously he wasnīt cut out of it. Andrew should have at least brought a friend, but at last he had thought he would be able to handle a little girl.

Shadowwulf followed her awkwardly. "Please, I donīt want to force you to do anything! But at least talk to me.", he further tried. Now he was sounding downright pathetic, he thought.

(Sorry, how are we going to continue this when she doesnīt even want to speak to him? I was kinda thinking she doesnīt have a good place to stay. Or maybe he saves her from something now?)

(Sorry about that, wasn't exactly sure what you had in mind so just winged it. But sure we can do him saving her from something to gain her trust.)

As Shadowwolf continued to follow after her, Kamoto continued to try and ignore the taller mutant that was following her. While she was intrigued at hearing the offer of finding a new place to live, she didn't know if she could trust just words alone. Although unbeknownst to the two of them, as Shadowwolf trails behind still trying to convince Kamoto, they were currently being watched by a being who definitely wanted to bring harm to either of the two of them.

(Going with the alien thing for now...wanted to keep things relatively grounded at first, but still, it kinda feels natural with Tokyo and all. By the way, what is Kamotos mutant ability/trait?)

Suddenly a goddamn alien zapped into their way. It kinda looked like a human sized, silver-grey crab with huge claws. And it attacked right away. "Oh fuck, a Nandaklorian, these are bad news! They hate mutants...", Shadowwulf exclaimed and threw himself onto the ground with the Thirteen year old under his protection. It had been right in time, since the alien fired a beam of green energy out of his claws into their direction. They escaped by a hairs breath. Andrew immediately got up and attacked before it could do another thing. He hit its chest but his claws just barely scratched its armor. "Shit shit shit...If you got any ace up your sleeve kiddo its time to show it!", the huge man said, alltough it was embarrasing. Even he had trouble fighting one of these beings. Nandaklorian warriors were looking to fight and kill mutants to "prove themselves". After several killings, secret services around the world had looked for countermeasures. But they were awfully slow at it, thinking it was not a priority when some mutants got hit, who were trouble for them anyway.

((To describe it, her body is magnetized and has the ability to attract and repel objects and capable of imbuing said objects with electricity))

As if things hadn't gotten bad enough sudden the two were now under attacked. "What is that thing?" She questioned in shocked not even registering the answer that Shadowwolf gave as she then suddenly found herself pushed to the ground to avoid green energy beam that was fired at them. Upon getting asked if she have any aces to use. "Uhh, umm, umm...." Kamoto stuttered not exactly sure what to do, but decides to help. Looking around, she suddenly notices a bus stop bench with a piece of iron as support. Reaching her hand out, she starts to concentrate hard and after a few seconds the iron support snapped off the bench and flies over towards Kamoto who then starts to charge the support with electricity before then firing the support towards the Nandaklorian warrior at high speed, impaling it and sending it flying across the street. With some time, Kamoto rushes to Shadowwolf's side. "Are you okay?" She questioned.

Andred saw with delight how the girl handled the alien. He gave her a friendly pat on the shoulder. "That was great!", he praised her,"Remind me not to get on your bad side. Seems like you will do the protecting from now on." After telling her that he slowly turned towards were the alien had flown off to, hoping it was dead. Was he afraid? Maybe a little. Thankfully it wasnīt there. Maybe it was dead...or had disappeared again. Nandaklorians had a tendency to pick their battles. A policy he didnīt follow, alltough there was usually someone to bail him out. Maybe this tendency to find good friends was one of his traits. "But you see now why it is good to be with people who will fight for you, right?", Shadowwolf asked, hoping the brief fight had underlined that mutants lead a dangerous life and had to stick together. And the best way to do this was to follow him to the preserve he had mentioned.

Kamoto took a few deep breaths before catching her breath recovering from using her ability. Anytime she would used it, it took a lot out of her leaving her winded and exhausted. While not completely lackluster in terms of physical ability, Kamoto wasn't the best at it either. Looking over at the debris, she didn't see any moving meaning that it was either pinned underneath all the rubble unable to move or hopefully in their case, it was dead. She then heard the comment Shadowwolf made and thought hard about it for a few seconds. She didn't want to go off somewhere she didn't know, although she didn't have many she could trust at home and now clearly after being targeted, it would make sense to stick with the one who is helping her. "I will listen to you. Let's just go somewhere safe." Kamoto said taking Shadowwolf's hand. With few people that she could trust and even fewer people who could relate to what she was going through, maybe going with Shadowwolf is the smarter idea.
