National Treasure: repost
I have this idea concerning the movie National Treasure. I like the idea of Ben Gates having fathered a child he never knew about, very young. He later finds Riley Poole in a cubicle. Curious about his past, Riley tells Ben about his mother, and how his father wasn't around. He casually , mentions his mother's name. Ben knows the name and does some digging, only to discover his new assistant is his son.
Another way to do it, is having Riley doing a few...less then legal things, and finding an article claiming he and Ben are Father and son. He shows Ben, and as Ben reads it, he discovers that Riley was adopted, and raised by the Poole's. The person claiming the relationship is Riley's birth mother, whom he has never contacted, but knows about. He tells Ben her name, and the little he knows about her. The name strikes Ben, who realizes it very well may be true.
It can be newly discovered or an established relationship. I would like to play Riley. I think it would be best to take place after the first movie, but before the second.
