She noticed the tear as well and she gestured to it. "Well, I could fix that for you and get some herbs on your scratches, if you'd like?" She offered him.

The dwarfling watched Cirtolthiel circle around him, checking all over for any other serious injuries. Faudin gave a small smile when the elfling offered to fix his tear and scratches. "You can do that? That would be great, Cir."

Cirtolthiel smiled at her new friend. "Well, I am an Elf." She said as if it was obvious, grinning. "Let's go back inside, and I'll help you." She said, leading him the way back, trees whispering the way to her.

"Thank you." Faudin nodded to her and followed her back to the palace. "Elves are good at healing then?" He asked curiously.

Cirtolthiel nodded her head. "Well, most Elven women are... My Ada is good at healing, too, but Legolas says he has to be because he's King." She explained. "I think it's because I don't have my Naneth anymore..." She sighed. "So he had to take her responsibilities, too."

Faudin nodded as she spoke. "My da's cousin is a healer, he helped me with by burn that hurt real bad on my hand." He looked sadly at her when she said her mother was gone so she felt that her father took the responsibilities. "He sounds like a good da though."

Cirtolthiel listened to the small one as he spoke, a smile gracing her face. "Your da's cousin is a good dwarf." She praised and nodded her head. "Yes, my da is good." She said, trying to coin his own terms to seem more friendly. She led him into the palace and then beckoned him to follow her to the room where she was staying. "Sit on my bed, I'll get what I need." She instructed him, leaving the room just to do that.

The dwarfling gave a smile when she used his own terminology for his father, this was a very nice elfling indeed. Faudin looked up at awe once they were in the Rivendell palace; it so unlike the dark stones he was used to. Once in her room, he clamored onto her bed and sat down, swinging his legs over the side as he watched her leave.

Cirtolthiel was only gone a few minutes before she returned with two small packs in her hands. She moved to her bed and set them down, first pulling out a needle and thread, and she made quick work of stitching the tear right back up in his tunic, then she put that away and grabbed the other pack. "Okay, show me the scratches that hurt the worst." She instructed him.

Faudin watched as his new friend made quick work of the tear, making it like it was never there. "Whoa." He never got to see any sewing skills while living with his dad. "This one and this one." He said, pointing to a scratch on his right elbow and another scratch on his left calf.
