"She tackled you?" He asked, looking in disbelief at the little boy and then he looked to Cirtolthiel, who looked at him and then quickly away, huffing as the guards looked her over. Dwalin looked back to his boy. "A disagreement? She was atop you, boy." He sighed.

King Thranduil came hurrying to his daughter, and Cirtolthiel blanched a bit. "Yes, ada, I'm quite alright." She told him, and Dwalin fixed a fiery glare. "O' course she's your daughter." He actually dared to say to the Elven king, the fiery dwarf turning to them. "Apparently, she initiated this... squabble." He told Thranduil with a very dark look. Cirtolthiel simply squirmed a bit.

"She said I was not worth much and I was merely a speck to her!" Faudin said, wrapping his arms around Dwalin's neck and resting his head on his shoulder. Even though Dwalin looked like a gruff, mean dwarf, he was the best dad ever. He comforted Faudin when he was sad, looked under his bed for wargs and told him the best bedtime stories.

Thranduil saw the rip in her skirt and glared at the dwarf, rising slowly to his feet. "Yes of course she is my daughter." He brought Cir close to him. "And don't you dare blame this on her. This was obviously your little terror's doing; my daughter would never start a 'squabble'."

Dwalin was very, very offended as his son told him what the girl had said to his little boy. He hugged him tighter and whirled on Thranduil, not intimidated by the elf at all. Cir snuggled up to her Ada as they spoke back and forth.

"Are ya gettin' deaf in your old age, o' mighty Elvenking?" Dwalin scoffed. "My son just told me that she called him a speck without worth." He glared at Cirtolthiel as he said this, and she looked away from him. She really wasn't keen on lying... "He called me a stupid elfling." She grumbled.

Faudin listened as Dwalin and Thranuil exchanged words, lightly biting his lip as he knew some of it was his fault.

Thranduil barked a laugh. "Oh please...my hearing will remain perfect even when you are old and hobbling around using a stick...which will be soon I have no doubt." Thranduil did slightly frown when Dwalin said Cir called his son a 'speck without worth', even though it is a dwarfling, he did try to teach her to have respect for all races. He opened his mouth to ask her if it was true when she said that the dwarfling called her a stupid elfling. Thranduil whipped his head back to Dwalin, pulling Cir even closer. "Your dwarfling dares to insult a princess!"

Oh, Dwalin was seeing red by now. If there was any creature on the planet that made Dwalin want to smash a tree in half--it was Thranduil Oropherion. Damned elf!

"It does not matter if she is a princess--I shall deal with my son for what he has done in this discrepancy. The matter is that your child physically and verbally attacked my child--and you are siding with her!" He looked down at Faudin with a very stern stare. "Did you hit her first, makk? Do not lie to me." He warned him, because he was going to get to the damned bottom of this. He was positive both children were to blame--but he wanted to know who had started this. And if it be his son, he would be a very sorry dwarfling indeed.

Faudin slightly shrunk at his father's stern gaze. "She pushed my first... honest, Da."

Thranduil glared at the dwarf as he spoke; of course he would take his daughter's side! The dwarfling obviously started the physical altercation and he was going to voice his opinion as so until he heard the words from the dwarfling. "Cir," He looked to his daughter. "Did you push him first?"

Dwalin prided his son in being honest, and surely that Thranduil did the same. Neither of their children were liars--they were raised too well for that. So he did honestly believe him when he said that she had pushed him first, and it wasn't just him being blinded by his love for his son.

Cirtolthiel looked straight to the floor and kept her gaze there too as her Ada questioned her. She was quiet for a few moments, before nodding. "Yes, I did..." She said honestly.

Thranduil sighed when she gave an affirmative. "And did you call him a 'speck without worth' as well?" He took her hand and rubbed his thumb over the back of it in a comforting gesture.

Cirtolthiel gave a very heavy sigh. "Yes..." She said softly. "But he called me Miss Pointy Ears! And tried to be all high and mighty because he's 'from the line of Durin'--whatever that is to mean--and he pushed me back! He pushed me hard enough that my skirt tore, Ada!" She defended herself.

Dwalin looked to his little one. "And did you do all of that, Faudin?" He asked him.

Faudin looked down, playing with a loose string on Dwalin's tunic. " Yes...I did, Da."

Thranduil sighed, listening to his daughter's words. "I see, so you are both at fault here are you not?"
