[Kerushii-danna]

He sniffled a bit. "I-It was good, nii-san. We got our progress reports today...I though-thought I did really well. All straight A's." he rubbed his eyes. "Exc-except for one of them was a A-, and f-father got angry and s-scolded me.." he glanced away, completely embarrassed with the sitaution. "...a-and then..." he started, a lump occuring in his throat. "..y-you weren't watching, were you?" he gazed up at him. "...y-you aren't mad at me too, right, Itachi?" he frowned. "....I-I d-didn't even understand w-what I did wrong." he sniffed, lowering his head a bit, feeling degraded. Slowly, he brought his hand back to his rear, and began to rub a bit, almost in tears again. "...-i-it really sti-stings..." he grimaced, and glanced up to Itachi again.

"Itachi, Sasuke-chan!" Mikoto called from the kitchen, sticking her head out of the room. "Time for dinner!" she called, and vanished into the kitchen once again, kneeling down near the table on a mat. Gazing up to Fugaku, she sighed. "I hope you weren't too hard on him..." she whispered to herself. After Fugaku came into the kitchen, Mitkoto had seen the progress report, and thought, in her own words, that Sasuke had done an excellent job. Fugaku though, had higher expectations, and she knew that.

The prodigy Uchiha narrowed his eyes at the smaller nin's question, and he shook his head thrice, raven hair shifting with the movement, "No." he stated with firmness, only to ease his tone, "No, I'm not. I know how strong you are. Grades don't mean a thing... the true is that... otou-san can be... unreasonable." the older shinobi glanced down at his adorable little brother, noting his grimace of pain, and his lips melted into a faint smile, "I'll give you something that'll ease the sting a little," Itachi began, weaving a hand into his pouch, stopping at his mother's call. He placed that same hand upon his little brother's shoulder blades, ushering him forward, "It'll go away before you know it, Sasuke," he kneaded the youth's shoulders, and then gave his hair a ruffle as he attempted a smile, heading into the kitchen.

Fugaku nodded at his children, and gazed at his wife with his dark, piercing eyes, wondering if there was a rift between them briefly, until his back straightened and he set about the meal spread before them, surrendering to manful pride. Itachi shared brief words with his parents, glancing at his little brother, moving to fix extra seafood and vegetables onto Sasuke's plate now and again; encouraging the younger Uchiha to eat.

The small Uchiha didn't feel exactly...comfortable in the room, let's say. He stared at his kitchen mat, earning a confused look from his mother, before he kneeled down, trying to keepnig his rear from touching the ground because it stung immensly. His eyes wandered up to Itachi as he deposited food onto the plate time and time again. "...I'm not..." he started, seeing his parents look up to him. He placed his hands in between his legs, squirming a bit. "...very hungry...." he finshed.

Mikoto shook her head. "Honey, you have to eat." she started, calmly. "But, I'm not hungry, okaa-san." he replied once again. "Sasuke-chan, please eat..." the mother frowned at the boys actions. "You want ot gow big and strong like Itachi, no?" she tried, and got a small shake of the head from Sasuke. "I'm not hungry." he repeated again. "I'm sorry." he went silent at this, gazing down to his lap. "Arigato, though, okaa-san."

"You're going to eat the meal that your mother has made for you, or you'll go straight to your room and not come out until you're ready to behave, Sasuke," Fugaku uttered with firmness, regarding his youngest with a stern mood as he picked at his own meal. He wouldn't have thought that the boy would have the energy to be rebelling after being over his father's lap not ten minutes ago, but the Uchiha Head knew well that his eldest had a rebellious streak. It was only natural that he act up a little.

The man turned to his lover, noting her expression, and instead, awaited his son to obey. Itachi gazed down at his little brother, eyes urging, "Ne, it's good, Sasuke. You should try it; you'll only be hungry later..."

"I don't want to eat, nii-san!" he rose his voice at the eldest Uchiha, and when he felt that he was the center of attention, he slumped back down. Well, that was stupid, now wasn't it? Sasuke wasn't reacting very well during this time period; clearly, he was angry with his father, above all things. Never acknowledging him, treating him like he was nothing..."...I'm sorry for yelling at you, nii-san.." he apoligized. "...I'm really not hungry though-" at the threat of being sent to his room, he shut up, but began to protest. "B-But, o-otou-san--!" he whimpered. "I'm not hungry; I'm really not!" he tried. "I don't want to eat anything, tonight." he gazed at the ground, his voice softening again.

He wasn't supposed to raise his voice, or protest against his father; that was very bad in his parents eyes. After all was said and done though, he felt rather proud for sticking up for himself. Fugaku had also stepped on and walked all over him, but here's where he drew the line. While he felt this, he couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt; either way, he wasn't going to apoligize for what had been spoken.

Itachi narrowed his eyes, more out of dread for what the reaction would have on his parents, but said nothing. He only turned back to his own meal, rising the bowl and working his chopsticks around he rice and spiced meat that resided within.

At his youngest's adamant protests, Fugaku calmly placed his own bowl down, pressing palms down upon the table top, as he rose up into a stand, disregarding Mikoto's urgent pleading eyes. He shook his head once, and paced over to Sasuke, holding out a large tanned palm, "Come on. You're going to your room."

The older of the Uchiha children chewed silently on his fare for a short while, before his dark eyes raised, "Otou-san, it's alright. I'll take him..." he rose into a stand, looking from his mother to his stern father, "I... want to change out of my uniform, anyway..." Fugaku stared at his son, and then heaved a sigh, somewhat aggravated by his youngest, giving a nod.

He bent down at the waist, and gave Sasuke a stern glare and finger, "Sasuke. You can stay in there until you're ready to act like a responsible nin," the proud Uchiha parent placed his hands on his hips, "otherwise I'll be having a talk with you before lights out tonight. Is that understood, young man?"

Mikoto also sighed, a little in frustration in relief as Fugaku uttered those stern words to his youngest son. "Sasuke-chan; listen to your father. It's either off to bed, or you stay here and eat your dinner like a good boy." the mother replied in a calm tone of voice. "But, for now, you need to head to your room like you've been told.." she sighed

Sasuke bit back a small growl as his afther bent down to him; that quickly turned into an expression of fear. "Sasuke. You can stay in there until you're ready to act like a responsible nin," the proud Uchiha parent placed his hands on his hips, "otherwise I'll be having a talk with you before lights out tonight. Is that understood, young man?" He bit down tenderly on his lip, and glanced up sheepishly at him. "...yes, sir; I'm sorry, sir..." He silently looked up to Itachi, who led him to his room. "...Nii-san, I just lost my temper back there....I don-" he stopped talking when he got no answer from the older one. As they reached his quietly, secluded room, Itachi gave him a light push into his room, and the smaller Uchiha glanced back as the door shut with a small creak. He crawled onto his bed, and laid down face first (since he was too sore to lay on his back), and glanced at the celing. "What did I do wrong?" he ased himself softly, before shutting his eyes, blocking things out.
