Link was running through the village, towards the Great Deku Tree. He had entered, to join the Discipline Team, that patrolled the village, maintaining the rules. And today was the day, he'd learn if he passed the entrance exam, and made it in. "I'm here Great Deku Tree" he said, entering the area, and walking over.

The tree immediately noticed as the boy came, and the reason for Link's coming was obvious. "Link, welcome....thou hast come to hear of the results of your exam then?" he then guessed.

"Thou hast passed with flying colors....it seems that you have what it takes to become apart of the patrol. However, you must remember the power that come's with the position...you must be...responsible..." the tree told him.

"Yes Sir" he said, nodding, "I won't abuse my power. And I know that being on the patrol, doesn't make me above the others. If I act up, I'll get spanked, or whatever, like anyone else."

As he walked to the office, he was smiling happily. He couldn't wait, for Mido to hear that he passed! Mido had tried out, but failed miserably. He knew he promised to not abuse his power. But bragging a bit, wasn't abusing his power. And Mido had always treated him bad, and acted like he was better than him, cause of his lack of a fairy. But now... "(I'm gonna love, rubbing this in his face!)" he thought, smiling wider.

Currently, Mido was sitting by his lonesome. It was made clear that he was not in a good mood due to his failure and the rest of the Kokiri, even Fado, left him alone. Although, the only thing that kept him fom fully blowing his top was the fact that he could safely reassure himself that 'Mr. No Fairy' wasn't getting in. Right?

Word spread quickly that Link had actually passed his test, and the others were more than surprised. However, Mido had yet to hear, so when he saw Link pass by, he scoffed. "Why are you so happy for? Usually you're supposed to sulk when you fail..."
