Trei grimanced some at the 'gourmet' options they had. He took out the canned fish and the rice crackers. "Well...how does gourmet fish and crackers sound?" He said with a chuckle then sighed. "If there is nothing left eat, I am sure they will eat it." He went off to find a can opener and got to work on dinner.

Cul rolled his eyes and frowned. "I would get no personal gain from killing you, only because I would die along with you." There was also the thought that they were his family and he wouldn't want to hurt them unless it was necessary. "Have you both come to annoy me or are you actually here for a specific reason?" He asked with an obviously annoyed tone in his voice. Soll frowned some. "We only came to nake sure that you weren't doing something dangerous Cul." She sat beside him and crossed her arms.

"Would that be before or after they're done eating us?" Aln joked again as she set to work rummaging out some plates; even if the food wasn't all that appealing they could atleast try and make it feel like a homely family meal. There was a stack of non-breakable ones sitting neatly inside one of the counters and so she counted out four, paused, and then remembered to set an extra one for their newest addition "Keep forgetting there's one more," she admitted as she began sorting out the cutlery.


"Considering you can manufacture bombs out of cleaning fluid and kitchen supplies, I'm sure you can appreciate the caution," Zay added in, glancing off out the window with a sigh. They were just about passing another nebula now, he silently mused "Your world, the one you leapt from," he started, just casually "How big a difference was there?" he quirked a brow "And, in all seriousness," something he was willing to take with a little more weight after the silly putty incident "You really used to be thirty?"

"Well, Cul is new so it and is to be expected for now." He said as he looked at the mixture of fish and crackers he made. "Well dinner looks....edible." He admitted as he put it on the center of the table.

Cul sighed and looked at him. "My universe and this one are pretty much the same actually, of course there are some small ddifferences, but that is to be expected. Frim what I have seen so far is that people who have died in my world are still alive and well in this world." He stated as he looked away some. "But as for my age, yes, I use to be thirty. I still don't understand why I was de aged, but it seems that I must deal with it until I am able to reach a lab."

"Looks...interesting,: Aln did her best to keep the worst of the cynicism to herself "I'll go get the kids,"
It was somewhat surprising to see that none of the three were separated into their little sections, atleast she was assuming so since Zay and Soll appeared to be absent from the living-area "Kids?" She called as she followed through into the front of the ship "Kids, dinner's ready." She was sure to add her best optimistic smile "Really hope you're hungry,"

Cul looked over when Aln had called and went off to the table. He looked over the food and even though he should have had a face of utter disgust, he had a face of happiness. "Wow, I can't believe you made fish and crackers, it's my favorite. Trei gave Cul a very confused stare, but shrugged. "Oh..well then, enjoy."
Sul walked into the kitchen and blinked when she saw what dinner was. "Ugh, that's dinner? It looks disgusting."

Zay nudged his sister gently as he walked through to the kitchen "C'mon Sol, it...looks...wow," He faltered somewhat when he came around to actually see what had been plated up but tried his best to pick it up "Looks...great...Experiment night?" he tried to grin.

Aln likewise shot her daughter a stern look as she took her seat opposite her "You don't have to eat it, but it's all we have to make a meal out of." she said passively before glancing back up at the two older ones "And your father did work hard to make it nice for you."

Sol looked down and nodded. "Sorry mom...it looks alright for what you had to work with." She said with a half hearted smiled and went to try to eat.

Cul looked at the two. "I don't know what you two are complaining about, this is the best I've eaten in years!" He said as he began to fill his plate. Trei smiled some. "I'm glad to see someone is appreciating my work!"

Aln, noticing the opening between Trei and young Cul, couldn't help lovingly interjections "See; your brother knows how to make something out of nothing," she ran a hand over the boy's black hair in a proud gesture "If I didn't know any better Trei, I'd say he took after you,"

Zay stared now at his 'brother' with only the most morbid of fascinations "Either you're sucking up or people in your dimension are really hungry." he meant it quite innocently, even if he did have to catch himself grimacing at the after-taste of the fish, he winced over towards his father "Is it ok if I just eat the crackers?"

Trei blinked and smiled at his wife. He saw how serious she was about Cul being their son and smiled. "Yes..well maybe he does." He said, eating his food, almost gagging at the taste. "Well....its...edible...if you want to eat just the crackers I won't stop you."

Cul looked at Zay and rolled his eyes. "I have no need to suck up to anybody, when you are in prison you're lucky to a piece of bread with no mold on it...this is a gourmet dinner to me." He said as he continued to eat. "You should eat all of it Zay...the proteins in fish are good for your bones and the zinc is good for your brain too." The way the boy spoke it sounded more like an insult, but..that's how the boy usually talked.

Zay snorted at the boy's backhanded advice, busying himself scraping the worst of the fish from the crumbly surface with one of the plastic knives and over to Cul's; meeting his expression with a poignant one of his own "Oh no, please; if that's the case I think you'd better get emergency rations kiddo," he took a bite from the cleared cracker "What with those crude manners and all, I think you could use the boost." there was a flicker of thought in his eye upon swallowing another bite "Who knows; if you eat it all maybe you'll stay out of prison when you grow up."
