Ash and Brock were sitting on A circular table able to seat six people. Ash had gotten himself A hamburger with A side of fries along with A lemonade. "Look who finally came down from her room. Were your sisters making everything was in place for their little sis?" Ash teases.

"No, but Violet made a lame attempt at putting me in my place," Misty said, rolling her eyes. She plopped down in her chair and took a bite of grilled cheese, then a sip of soda. "Lily helped me move in, and Daisy is supposed to come in later to help me finish unpacking... if she's not too busy with you-know-who, that is. Violet, on the other hand, just came by to tell us some BS story about how upperclassmen and faculty are all allowed to use corporal punishment. In this century. Can you imagine?"
Brock paused, his soup spoon midway between the bowl and his mouth. Slowly, he lowered it. "Misty... are you telling me you didn't know about that? With three sisters who went here?"
Misty squinted. "Know about what? What are you saying?"
"I'm saying she's telling you the truth. That does happen here. I've never been hit or hit an underclassmen, but... she isn't lying. I've seen it happen. The Dean of Students, Lusamine, is infamous for it."

Ash nods his head listening to what Brock was explaining to the girls. "Yeah, even I heard about that too." Ash said. "So that's the dean's name...I have been hearing that she also plays A big part in the Science department as well." Ash brought up what he's heard. Meanwhile, Dawn who has been nervous after hearing what Brock had explained to them.

"Oh man. They should've really explained something like this on their website or brochure or something." Dawn whines not looking forward to any spanking she might get. Ash looks at her direction.

"Who are you supposed to be?" Ash questioned.

"That's Dawn, my roommate. And apparently, she didn't know about it either. Ugh. So, what kind of stuff to we have to look out for, Brock? To not get hit, I mean."
Brock shrugged and returned to his lunch. "Mostly it's common sense things you'd expect. No causing trouble around campus. No underage drinking, or being loud after quiet hours or during exam prep. Also, getting poor grades can get you punished by your professor or TA, or even get you sent to Lusamine. The professors aren't exactly out to police you, but you should still use caution. ...Right, and I forgot to mention. Cohabitating can also get you in some trouble if you're caught."
"Cohabi... what?" Misty raised an eyebrow. "What does that even mean?"
"Here it means having a member of the opposite sex in your bedroom after the designated hours are over. That's midnight. Honestly, I don't know how you'd get caught, but still."

"Well nice to meet you." Ash greets as he then listens to the rules that Brock was listening out. "Well, that should be simple enough." Ash said. However, he was worried about the poor grades part considering that he wasn't exactly A model student. Dawn was the same boat considering she doesn't even do some of the things that Brock listed as she can keep A B+ grade easily. "Well, maybe we should just forget about this for the time being?" Dawn suggests.

"Yeah, let's just forget about it. Dawn, you said your girlfriend runs the coffee shop, right. Does that mean... maybe we could get a discount?" Misty asked, grinning. She knew she shouldn't be considering a latte after eating pizza and grilled cheese, but she still wasn't worried about putting on weight. She planned to go to the gym and go swimming before the night was over.

"Well Yeah, we can...but she would have me make up for it." Dawn said with a blush. "And the things she has me do are rather embarrassing to talk about." She adds hoping that they could pay full price.

"Come on I'm pretty sure that whatever it is she will have you do be too embarrassing." Ash said. He would be glad to have A place where he wouldn't have to pay full price for things.

"Well alright, I guess." Dawn said as she leads them to the coffee shop.

The four students made their way to the coffee shop, where Cynthia was cleaning tables. The sides of her lips curled into a smirk seeing her girlfriend. "Hey, Dawn." She greeted her with a peck on the cheek. "Did you make some new friends already?"
Cynthia was a tall, blonde woman who preferred dressing in black. She had Pokemon, and she was a talented trainer, but she was really trying to make it as an author. Unfortunately, she hadn't had much luck outside of a few successful articles in regional newspapers. Managing the coffee shop during the day helped pay the bills.
