Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising. Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts) Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising. Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!
I have had a lot of people active on the Discord who are contributing to this game. It's in a fully playable state right now but there is a lot more content that we are planning to add. While I will make incremental bug fixes as they come up, expect a major update to this game eventually. If you haven't started playing the game already, you may wish to wait for this major update. We have talented writers brainstorming ideas and overhauling dialogue. We are also working on improving the pacing of scenes and adding new scenes.
What we really need now are artists. There are a lot of spanking scenes to illustrate, but we would like to prioritize the most important scenes. We also are in need of a better title screen. A sunset is nice and all, but not really spanking related. If you're interested in helping out or even just curious about what's going on with the development, head on over to the Discord.
Unzip the file. I compress this using 7-Zip if that matters. Don't remove the Game.exe file from the folder. It needs to remain where it's at so it can access the other files.
I know about the game crashes that happen sometimes in Ecruteak City. I am working on a fix for it, but in the meantime, DO NOT save your game in Ecruteak City or the immediate vicinity. Fly to another town before saving your game. The crashing issue seems to resolve itself if you go somewhere else for a while but that can't happen if you get trapped by saving your game inside the city.
If you are currently trapped, then I'm hoping that you will be able to continue your saved game once the issue is fixed.
Changelog:

I am pleased to announce a fan-made Rule 34 parody of Pokemon. It's called Pokemon: Spanko Version. It's made with RPG Maker XP, so I can only really ensure it works on Windows, although I do believe there are apps that let you play it on Android.
The game is set in the Johto region. If the game is well-received, I will likely add the Kanto region as well. It very loosely follows the path of Generation 2 games, but obviously with an altered plotline. Characters have been aged up and are all at least 18.
This is a very traditional Game Boy era Pokémon game, but with a few quality of life improvements from more modern games, such as reusable TMs and not having HMs. There are 400 Pokémon to collect in Johto. If I add Kanto, there will likely be more Pokémon added.
I will provide more details in the form of FAQs.
Q: What are the controls?
A: Enter to select, Escape to exit, Shift to open your menu, X to run, and D to use your quick select menu for key items you have registered.
Q: How closely does this follow the storyline of the original games?
A: Somewhat loosely. The progression is similar. Take on 8 gyms and then the Elite Four, and battle Team Rocket along the way, but there are plot differences. For example, you're a research assistant for Professor Oak (not Elm) rather than an aspiring young trainer.
Don’t expect the characters to be entirely canonical either. For example, if you have Gary as your rival, don’t expect Professor Oak to be recognized as his grandfather. This game doesn’t rely on established canon.
Q: Are there gender options?
A: Yes. You get to choose whether you're male or female. You can also choose whether your rival is Gary or Nemona.
Additionally, you have spanker and spankee options with their respective gender options. You can choose to spank males, females, or both. You can also be spanked by males, females, or both.
Q: Will I miss out on any content depending on my gender choices?
A: Not really. Characters who you interact with in spanking scenes have gender alternates. However, choosing whether to be a top, bottom, or switch at the beginning of the game DOES affect the content significantly. Also, your choice of rival can make a difference. For example, if you only want to spank female characters, but you choose Gary as your rival, you will be missing out on a scene.
Choosing to be a switch is the only way to experience all of the spanking scenes in the game. Alternatively, you COULD choose to be "neither" and just play this as a spank-less Pokémon fan game, but why would you want to do that?
However, there may be implied spanking pairings that you can't control through your gender preference options. For example, if you choose Gary as your rival, there is an implied spanking done to him by Professor Oak, even if you chose to only allow female spankers.
Q: If I choose to be a switch, are there still any missable spanking scenes?
A: There is one, and it’s very obvious. If you for sure don’t want to miss it, then finish the game with less than 250 pokemon in your Pokedex.
Q: How is the gender determined if you choose to spank or be spanked by both genders?
A: It's a case by case basis, but gym leaders follow a system. For each gym, you have a default gym leader. If your choice at the beginning of the game favors the other gender exclusively, then you get the alternate gym leader instead. If you are good with either gender or with only the gender of the default gym leader, then you get the default gym leader.
Here's an example. The default gym leader of Azalea Town is Bugsy, who is male. You can spank gym leaders who you defeat.
If you are solely a bottom, then it doesn't matter and Bugsy will be the gym leader.
If you prefer to spank males, Bugsy is the gym leader.
If you like spanking both males and females, then Bugsy is the gym leader yet again.
If you ONLY want to spank females, then Viola is the gym leader instead.
There are 4 gyms with male defaults and 4 with female defaults.
Q: Can I get a list of the gym leaders and alternates? What about the implements used there?
A: Yes.
Violet City gym (martinet): Falkner with Skyla as alternate.
Azalea Town gym (switch): Bugsy with Viola as alternate.
Goldenrod City gym (hand): Whitney with Ilima as alternate.
Ecruteak City gym (lexan paddle): Morty with Phoebe as alternate.
Cianwood City gym (leather strap): Brawly with Korrina as alternate.
Olivine City gym (wooden paddle): Jasmine with Steven as alternate.
Mahogany Town gym (rubber strap): Candice with Grusha as alternate.
Blackthorn City gym (cane): Clair with Lance as alternate. (There is a surprise twist with this though)
As you can see, the defaults mostly follow the original games, but with some necessary changes made. Chuck and Pryce weren't exactly the most spankable characters, so I replaced them.
Q: How do gym spankings work?
A: For the first 7 gyms, it's pretty straightforward. If you defeat the gym leader, you have the option of spanking them with an implement specific to that gym. The implement choices are thematically appropriate. The 8th gym has a bit of a twist.
Q: Do you get spanked for losing?
A: It's implied but doesn't happen in game. The reason is because I don't want to incentivize anyone to purposely lose.
Q: How would a bottom or switch be spanked in the game then?
A: Cause trouble. Barging into people's homes uninvited will be quite irritating for some NPCs. Maybe getting caught sneaking into a Team Rocket hideout might have unfortunate consequences for you. In short, there will be opportunities out there in the world if you look.
Q: How does the game handle trade-only evolutions?
A: Alternate evolution methods have been created. Check out the library in Violet City. There are in-game books that explain the new evolution methods.
Q: How did you pick the 400 Pokemon that appear in game?
A: I tried to create a good game balance. Some Pokémon games had an issue where you could get super OP Pokémon very early on. For example, you could get an Eevee, spend a few minutes doing a mini game, and instantly have a Sylveon capable of one-shotting powerful Dragon types.
On the other hand, there were games like Diamond and Pearl where you really didn't have any good Fire types if you didn't choose Chimchar as your starter. I hope to avoid both scenarios. I will say though that I purposely made Dragon types a bit on the rare side, just like in the early games.
I also reduced a lot of the redundancy. You don't need 9 different "basic bird" and "early game rodent and bug" varieties on the first route. So Starly, Rookidee, and Hoothoot are in, and Pidgey, Swellow, and Pidove are out.
Q: Why isn't my favorite pokemon in this game?
A: Unfortunately you can't please everyone. I hated it when my favorites weren't available in Sword/Shield and Scarlet/Violet but having over 1,000 in the game is becoming unmanageable. I prioritized game balance above all.
Q: OK, but why did you put THAT ridiculous pokémon in the game?
A: There are some truly stupid pokémon designs out there, including a few that I hesitated to put in the game. Ultimately though, there is some sort of reason for each of them being included. I’ve spent MANY hours poring over stats and revising my lists. None of these decisions were made lightly.
Q: What about legendaries?
A: I remember feeling disgusted by the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games when I saw how bad the legendary bloat had become. There are only 2 legendary/mythical Pokemon in this game: Mew and Mewtwo.
Q: What are the starters?
A: The starters are Bulbasaur, Chimchar, and Mudkip. The two that you didn't choose can still be caught later in the game.
Q: How are EVs and IVs handled?
A: They're a lot easier to manage than in early games. You can use EV training items and vitamins to boost their stats quickly. Additionally, there are EV reducing berries in case you mess up or change your mind. As for IVs, there is a page on your pokémon’s summary screen that gives you some idea of how good the IVs for a particular stat are. There is an NPC who can do Hyper Training to boost your IVs but it's late game.
Q: How difficult is this game?
A: It’s somewhat comparable to Gen 4 games with some important differences. You have more tools at your disposal, like reusable TMs, a wide variety of held items, and a big diversity in the types of pokemon you can use. Goldenrod City alone has a LOT of stuff that can really help you out. However, there is a pretty noticeable ramp up in difficulty near the very end, particularly in your battles against the Champion (either Ash or Cynthia) and your final battle with your rival. But if you use the tools the game makes available to you, these battles should be manageable.
As a free hint for these two battles, start planning ahead now on how you would counter Volcarona and Annihilape.
Q: Will this game be as sexually explicit or as dark as your previous games?
A: Definitely not. I am keeping this in line with the aesthetic of Pokemon, so it's a lot more lighthearted. There is a lot of spanking, but it's very much standard discipline style spanking. Aside from baring bottoms to spank, there is no implied sexual content at all.
Q: In terms of plot, how does spanking fit in?
A: Not very well, but that’s just kind of how pokémon is. A lot of stuff about Pokémon make no sense. Why are 10 year-olds given powerful magical creatures capable of causing earthquakes and sent off to battle the mafia and God? Why is it not animal cruelty? You just have to accept that none of it makes sense and just roll with the absurdity without overthinking it.
This was actually a huge mental adjustment I had to make. In prior games, I like to make the narrative make sense. Everything had to be explainable. But in this game, I just had to embrace the absurdity.
Q: I found a bug! What do I do?
A: Please let me know. A game like this is FAR more complex than the other spanking games I've made. There are 400 Pokemon in this game with many different abilities and moves. These game mechanics interact with each other in a multitude of ways. This game has been tested thoroughly, especially the Gen 9 Pokemon, but there is definitely room for bugs. I am one person, not the entire Game Freak QA team. Save often. I will try to patch bugs shortly after they are found.
Q: Are there any changes to the basic battle rules?
A: Yes! A big one. The only types of items that can be used as held items. So while your Pokemon can use a Berry to restore health in battle, you cannot use a Potion to restore its health in battle. You can do that outside of battle though. This is to avoid having battles decided by who can buy the most Revives. Obviously, these same rules apply to your opponents as well.
This should incentivize you to experiment with your party composition. There are a lot of really great held items that can drastically change the course of a battle. Some Pokémon also have moves and abilities that can restore health, remove status effects, and even revive fainted Pokemon (Revival Blessing). So definitely be sure to use the tools that are available to you.
Q: What can you do after beating the game?
A: At the moment, not a lot. You can catch Mew and Mewtwo. You can also rematch the gym leaders using special tournament rules.
Q: How do TMs work in this game?
A: Once you acquire a TM, it is infinitely reusable. A spreadsheet with all the locations of the TMs is included in the game folder.
Q: How do I find out where all the pokémon are located?
A: There is a spreadsheet in the game folder that provides locations. Note, however, that it doesn’t specify whether a pokémon is only available during the day time or at night. Generally speaking though, the pokemon that are night time exclusive tend to be the mysterious spooky types (dark, ghost, psychic, fairy).
Q: Does the time of day in game work based on real world time?
A: No. Time only passes when you’re playing. One minute of real world time spent playing the game is equivalent to an hour passing in game.
Q: Are there any known bugs?
A: Yes, the most serious bug is a game crashing bug. In my testing, it sometimes happened in and around Ecruteak City, including Route 37, the western part of Route 42, and the eastern part of Route 38. It’s rare but when it does happen, I’ve found that going somewhere else and doing other stuff for a bit solves the problem. I advise not saving the game Ecruteak City. Fly to another town to save just to be safe.
There is also a problem with some male pain sounds not being played correctly. This may be specific to a player’s computer. It’s likely a codec issue.
The Safari Zone game is also bugged for now. You can still enter the Safari Zone and catch pokémon exclusive to the Safari Zone. You just can’t play the Safari Zone mini game until I get it fixed.
There is an item in game that lets you fly to previously visited towns. Although you can register key items to be used with the quick select button (D), the item for flying doesn’t work when used from the quick select menu. You have to actually open your bag and select it for it to work. This is a bug.
While this isn’t really a bug, you may notice that the pokemon battle sprites are a bit small. Resizing them all to look good will take a long time. Additionally, there are some Gen 9 pokemon without a proper back sprite. For those few, I am using a reverse of the forward sprite as a stand-in for now.
While the map works great when selecting a destination to fly to, it does NOT always show your correct location on the map. You can be in one town, and the map might show you as being in another town on a very different part of the map.
Also not a bug, but some items are missing icons. A question mark is displayed instead. This will be fixed later.
Q: What are your future plans for this game?
A: I want to add more post-game content such as an extra challenging battle tournament system. If I do end up adding Kanto, there will be additional pokémon added as well. Perhaps an additional 100 pokemon or possibly more. Also, the Kanto region won’t just be end-game like it was in the original Gen 2 games. It will be a place you thoroughly explore before the Elite Four. Obviously, this will require rebalancing game leveling and progression, so this could take a while. I also want to add more quality of life improvements, such as being able to view specific EV stats.
Before any of that though, I want to overhaul the dialogue. I pulled a lot of trainer dialogue from the original games. I made adjustments where I saw they were needed to make sense, but I would like to edit a lot more. The dialogue when defeating gym leaders is also kind of repetitive. I plan to do a lot more writing to make these characters more interesting.
Q: Is there anything I can do to help with this game?
A: Yes! If you can write more interesting dialogue for the important characters, like your rival, gym leaders, Elite Four, and Champions, that would be the most helpful thing right now. I want to give these characters more personality, especially when it comes to dialogue related to spanking.

I love love love this concept, THANK YOU for asking this! I know you said you didn't want to encourage losing, but I did try and see what would happen if you lost the first rival fight. It blacked me put, sent me to the home and spawned me on TV. Dad said to see the Pokémon I got and the game froze. No big deal, i saved before but thought I should let you know! Looking forward to seeing more!! <3
Edit: Another bug to report, in Cherry grove Pokemart, there is a flyer on the desk by the clerk. Interacting with it crashes the game

God damn it, two of my favorite things combined just when my uni exams are coming up :*(
I'll have to hold of from playing for a while, but I already appreciate this so much! Also, in a few days when things aren't so busy for me, I'd love to help out with the expanded dialogue. How would I go about that?

Bug report: Any interaction with the second trainer down on Route 32 causes a game crash. This trainer blocks progression past the first gym. The specific error is as follows...
"Script 'Interpreter' line 182: EventScriptError occured.
