What programs do you reccomend?
Hey guys. I know this thread isn't exactly exciting but I thought I'd ask, what programs do you all use? For coloring, etc. Or mediums, if you don't use a computer.
I usually use Adobe Photoshop CS2 for coloring needs, it's pretty handy for layers and such. I can usually color a full comic/picture within a few hours.
I've also recently started using this program that came on my new Mac computer, called Comic Life. It's really nifty for speech bubbles, captions, and panels. It keeps things really neat and clean, but as for actual coloring and such of comics, it's pretty much useless.

I use photoshop too. If I need to do vectorial art, I do it in Flash.
What about a tutorials thread? I can share some tricks and time-saving tricks.

Most of the time I use Arcsoft Photoimpression 4, with a Wacom tablet.

I use Photoshop 5 (10 years old, but still good enough for me) and the Wacom tablet which you can see on http://spankingartwiki.animeotk.com/...raphics_tablet
As to mediums, I'm a great fan of pencil. I also did some inking with a quill, though I'll need to practise it more. But in the last year I mostly sketched my drawings directly with the tablet in digital.
Long time ago I made an experiment with Flash and also played around with Bryce (the landscape renderer) and a trial version of Poser, but never seriously.

well I use a lot of software, corel photopaint for the clean up and the basic color aplications, photoshop cs3 for coloring (the cs3 version has a enhanced sentivity for tablets), some times for backgrounding I use the autodesk 3d studio max 9 or the (3 for some old plugins like Illustrate) yea too fancy but it works to me after all I'm a graphic designer...

Now I've upgraded to Photoshop CS4. I've been experimenting with Illustrator for linework, but it's way too time consuming.
I'm studying Graphic Design, elmantonegro! Cool!
I don't have a tablet...I'm so cheap. Haha. Maybe I should invest in one.
My process is draw by pencil, ink with either marker or pen, scan, clean up and color in photoshop. Works okay but I seem to fall short of the polished, painted look some artists seem to achieve...
Is a tablet used for coloring, or just lineart? I really have no idea...
