Hector did a minimum of squirming and wriggling when his Big Sister soaped his face clean, but the little boy was very grateful when his face was wiped clean of soap and dried and he was set back on his feet.
The child dashed to the kitchen; it seemed like Hector never walked if he could run, bounce, jump, hop or leap, and opened a lower cabinet drawer, directly between his Daddy's legs, to get the pasta cooker.

"Daddy make a bridge," Hector said, on his hands and knees and looking up at his mushroom chopping Father. "I gotta get through."

"Sure" Andy said smiling at her mother. She was a bit nervous through. She knew she had to apologize to her father and she wasn't having a problem with it, the problem was if he was still angry with her. Andy didn't like to disappoint her parents and she felt extremly nervous in such situations. 'What if he is angry and won't accept it' was what she thought. She wanted to be forgiven, and have a nice time with her family.

Melanie could sense Andy's nervousness, and squeezed her shoulder reassuringly. The mother/daughter team walked into the kitchen to see the normal organised chaos that was meal preparationg around their house.

Andy smiled at her mother and when they entered the kitchen she went to her father "Dad-" she said swallowing hard "I'm sorry for my behavior... it's... I'm realy sorry" she said lowering her head. She was realy sorry for it and not only becouse Daniel told her to stop earlier. She hated whining in particular, and under normal circumastances she would never do it. It was just that stupid cold that shock her up

Daniel put down his knife, wiped his hands and said, "Come on." He led Andy to the living room and gave her an enormous hug. "It's ok, baby," he whispered. "I'm sorry I got SO steamed. We still pals?"

Andy stiffed as he led her into the living room, but relaxed as he hugged her. She liked being hugged by her father, it made her feel realy safe "So, you're not mad at me anymore?" she asked wanting to be 100% sure

"You know me, Sweetie," he answered. "I blow my stack, I make a lot of noise, but i never stay angry for too long." He gripped her shoulders. "You know how much I love you, right?"

Melanie must have been more or less eavesdropping because she picked that moment to come in. "Andy Sweetie," she said. "I need to talk to your father. Could you help Cassia keep an eye on Hector. We'll be in to help finish dinner in a few." She winked at Andy, sure she would know what they would be talking about.
