I'm pretty much of the same mind as Brigitta.

I'd never spank a woman as an actual punishment, nor would I consent to have that done to me (okay, I'd consent to it, but only because I'd probably enjoy it and then it wouldn't end up being an actual punishment). Spankings should have the appearance and trappings of real discipline, but really its just a game.

Using extremely minor or frivolous "misdeeds" as an excuse to give a spanking is a favorite of mine (coming home late, leaving the door open, forgetting to feed the cat, etc). Just as often, though, I can find myself randomly grabbing my SO and putting her over my knee without a word of explanation or justification at all. Then, of course, there's before and during sex...

I've not yet gotten to be a sub, but if I ever do I would probably enjoy the same spanking situations that I do from the dominant angle.
