Even though he'd known he was going to hear it Crevan bristled visibly as he heard the 'I will make the rules and you will obey them' line from the woman. His blue eyes narrowed even further as he continued to glare at her without looking directly at her, still fidgeting with the left sleeve of his shirt. "It's not as much mine as yours... it's yours and soon enough you'll figure out that you opened it up to the wrong person and then I'll get sent back to the moron so that she can once again try to find someone stupid enough to take me in." He paused at this point, taking a minute to collect his thoughts and try to figure out exactly why it was that he was even listening to her when the original plan had been to just let her speak and completely ignore everything that she said.
It didn't seem to be working out that way however, Crevan listening whether he'd intended to or not.
As the talk turned to discipline Crevan actually jumped to his feet, hands balling into fists as he glared daggers. He kept his word and let her finish saying what she had to say since when he gave his word he always tried really hard to keep it. However the very instant that she had finished speaking he exclaimed, "You don't have any right to do that! There is absolutely no way that I'm going to just let you do something like that, it's not happening so you may as well just call Atilla the social worker back and tell her that you've changed your mind. That you made a mistake or something. Trust me she's expecting it and won't in any way be surprised. " Yet as harsh as his words were and as tough as he tried to act there was still an underlying fear that Crevan only barely managed to hide. His hands reflexively went to the straps of his backpack as he took a couple of steps away from the sofa where he had been sitting.

Dawn ignored Crevan's little outburst during the beginning of her talk. She let him say what he had to say but as soon as he finished she started right back with what she had to say. She was a little surprised when Crevan jumped to his feet, balling his hands into fists as the mere mention of discipline and spanking. She did her best to hide her surprise though and smoothly continued speaking and making eye contact the best she could. She imagined it was quite possible that there was some physical abuse in Crevan's past, she knew that would make things more difficult but in the end it changed nothing in her mind.
As soon as Dawn finished speaking Crevan started right in. Dawn was pleased that he had actually waited for her to finish speaking though, and took it as the first positive sign she had seen out of the boy. She listened quietly as Crevan emphatically informed her that she had no right to discipline him, and that it wasn't going to happen so she might as well call his social worker to take him back. While Crevan sounded tough, Dawn wasn't so sure that he wasn't just a little scared. She did not want him to be afraid of her at all, but she understood that might be a possibility until he learned that she would never intentionally hurt him and only disciplined him for his own good.
Dawn remained seated as she answered Crevan. "Crevan, I am your foster mother now, and I have both the right and the responsibility to discipline you. I don't expect you to like it, I only expect you to comply with it. I am not going to call Pamela to take you back now or ever. I don't know what you think I mean when I say that I will give you a spanking but I will be happy to explain it to you if you want. I promise you that I won't injure or harm you in anyway. I promise not to spank you out of anger, and I will never spank you anywhere but on your bottom. It will hurt and it may hurt to sit for awhile afterwards, but I will never ever cause you any type of permanent harm. It's part of my job to provide you with discipline Crevan. Do you understand?," she asked calmly. Inwardly, she was praying that the boy wouldn't take off running from her, as she watched him slowly take several steps away from her.

As Dawn once again emphasized the fact that she both had the right and more over the responsibility to discipline him Crevan took a couple more steps back away from her, shaking his head and gripping the straps of his backpack. "I won't comply with anything and I don't care who you think you are, you have NO right to do anything like that to me. Maybe you think you have the right but that doesn't mean that you have the capability. It's. Not. Happening." Crevan put special emphasis on each of these last three words so that hopefully she would get the point, a challenging look of defiance in his celestial blue eyes. "And I'm not an idiot so I don't need you to explain to me what a spanking is." He knew exactly what it was that she was referring to and he also knew that there was no way that he was just going to meekly allow her to do it.
Muttering a string of profanities to himself in Gaelic he turned away from her at this point, still gripping the straps of the backpack that he hadn't bothered to remove even when she'd urged him to. "I've had enough of this." And with these words Crevan moved to leave the living room, not really wanting to be involved in any further conversations with Dawn or anyone else at the moment. "Can't believe that she actually thinks that cause she took me in she can do whatever she wants and I'm just supposed to go along with it." At this point Crevan was more or less talking to himself since he had his back to Dawn and was making his way rather quickly from the living room.
And toward the front door.

Dawn was not pleased when Crevan promptly told her that he wouldn't comply with any punishment and told her that she had no right or capability to discipline him. He then very clearly told her it wasn't happening and Dawn knew that she was going to have start their new relationship off with a spanking. She didn't want it anymore than Crevan did but she could see it was going to be necessary to establish her authority with her new foster son. "Crevan don't turn your back and walk away from me young man," Dawn called authoratatively to her new foster son as he did just that. In a flash she was to her feet and moved to follow him as he told her that he had, had enough of this. "Crevan stop right now!," Dawn called as the boy muttered to himself and began to quickly exit the living room.
Dawn was also now eyeing the front door herself. Her long legs allowed her to gain a little ground on Crevan, and she was confident that she could catch him at the door if it came down to it. Dawn was a fan of both the gym and exercise, and ran often. The shape of her body would tell anyone she was in good shape, but she was not only not fat she was also strong. "Crevan if you don't turn around right now and come back and talk with me I am going to have to spank you," Dawn warned drawing a proverbial line in the sand as she followed. She prepared herself to run after Crevan at the first sign of any attempted escape.

Crevan heard her calling out to him of course and couldn't fail to register the authoritative tone that her voice had taken on but just as with the sharp tone that she had used with him upon their first meeting he easily shrugged it off and kept walking. If anything her words only caused him to pick up the pace. "Like I would actually stop after hearing you say something like that to me... what kind of idiot do you take me for?" Crevan didn't really expect any kind of an answer to this question nor did he wait around to see if he would indeed receive one. Glancing over his shoulder and gauging how much distance there was between them since Dawn had opted to follow him the small boy suddenly bolted for the door.
He had no intentions of turning around or talking about anything and he made this point quite clear to her by stating, without looking around, "There's nothing to talk about!" Words which he wholeheartedly meant with every fiber of his being. Crossing the room he reached toward the door with one hand, trying desperately to make his escape before Dawn could catch up with him. And Crevan was no fool, he was well aware of the fact that she had considerably longer legs than he did and thus a longer stride. He only had a slim chance at best of being able to outpace her enough to get away but he was determined to do it.

As soon as Dawn heard the words, 'There's nothing to talk about!' leave Crevan's mouth she took off at a sprint for the door. Apparently, Crevan had the exact same idea, but thankfully Dawn's quick reaction allowed her to catch him as he began to open the door. Dawn grabbed Crevan's right wrist with both hands and tugged him backward just hard enough to get him out of the doorway. She then used her foot to kick the door back closed. With any immediate threat of escape denied, Dawn released right hand from around Crevan's wrist but still kept a tight hold with her left.
Dawn had no idea if Crevan would try to physically resist her ot not, but she prepared herself for the possibility. Of course she expected him to try and tug free, her only hope was that he wouldn't try to hit her to free himself. "Crevan, please don't make this any harder than it needs to be on either of us," Dawn requested in the most gentle tone of voice she had. She saw no point in yelling at the boy, or any good that could come from it. In fact she wanted to very intentionally show him a lack of anger, as she prepared herself to do what she knew she had to do. Dawn then began to firmly but gently try to lead Crevan into the kitchen where she intended to pull out one of the dining room chairs to sit in while she put Crevan over her knee to give him a spanking.

Caught by surprise by how quickly Dawn managed to catch up to him Crevan actually gasped as his wrist was grabbed and he was pulled backward, out of the doorway and away from freedom. His blue eyes widened slightly as the door was kicked closed, turning to gaze at his foster mother as she partially released her hold. There was an odd look to his eyes for the briefest of moments before he once again managed to banish it behind his mask of defiance. One that he had been working to perfect for the past three years and that was nearly impossible to see past. "It's going to happen all over again..." the small child murmured, his tone devoid of any emotion despite that on the inside he was absolutely terrified. "If they were just going to stick me somewhere for it to start all over again then why didn't they just leave me where I was? At least there, I had Ori." The boy's words weren't meant for Dawn, he wasn't even really aware of the fact that he said them out loud.
Crevan barely registered the slight pressure on his wrist as he was led toward the kitchen, the pair entering the room before the child really even thought to resist. Blinking his eyes a couple of times Crevan suddenly planted his feet firmly and refused to go any further. "No. This is not happening." Once again his voice had returned to it's normal tone of defiance and sarcasm, Crevan having long ago perfected a mask to hide his fears and insecurities in order to keep people from exploiting them. Yet on the inside his heart was absolutely racing and he couldn't quite keep himself form once again nervously fidgeting with the cuff of his left shirt sleeve.
Crevan made no attempts to strike Dawn or otherwise turn violent as she led him into the kitchen but once he realized that he'd sort of spaced out and followed along compliantly he began trying to tug his wrist free from her grip. "Let me go!"

Once Dawn had a hold of Crevan she could hear the boy muttering quietly under his breath, though she couldn't come close to make out any of the words. However she did manage to more or less make out what Crevan said afterward. Dawn winced for a moment as she had an idea of what Crevan could possibly be referring to though she had no idea who or what Ori was.
Dawn was relieved by Crevan's lack of resistance as she led him halfway through the kitchen. But all of a sudden the boy began to dig in his heels and defiantly informed her this wasn't going to happen before he finally began to try and pull free of Dawn's grasp yelling at her to let go. But Dawn kept her grip tight and Crevan's wrist locked in it despite the small boy's efforts to pull free. She also managed to slowly pull him into range of the kitchen and table and quickly grabbed a chair and spun it around. "Crevan stop it right now young man!," Dawn ordered firmly but with no trace of anger in her voice. "What do you think is about to start all over again anyways? And who is Ori?," Dawn questioned as she turned to face the boy and grabbed his other wrist with her free hand. Dawn was prepared to physically force her new foster son into position for a spanking if she had to, but for now she was content to just keep hold of him so he wouldn't try to escape as she hoped that she could engage him in conversation and possibly gain some amount of compliance.

Crevan tried his hardest to keep Dawn from pulling him any further into the kitchen but he coudln't manage to do it. The difference in their sizes, as well as strength level, was just too much for him to even hope to stand a chance. This fact not withstanding the small boy continued to attempt to pull his wrist free, his blue eyes hardening as his new foster mother grasped his other wrist and told him to stop. Even though he wanted to keep trying for freedom Crevan could tell, though he didn't want to admit it even to himself, that he had very little hope of actually managing to escape. His eyes hardened as she asked him what he thought was about to start all over again. "Like you don't know," the little boy spat out angrily, forcing himself not to show any signs of the fear that was almost all consuming at this point. He couldn't believe that she even had the nerve to ask him that question and it was obvious by the expression in his blue eyes that he didn't trust her.
They were all the same, none of them could be trusted.
This question about what he thought was going to happen angered him to be certain but for some reason her question about who Ori was actually angered him more. Thinking back to the Bernese Mountain Dog that he'd had to leave behind when he'd been taken by social services Crevan snarled, "It's none of your business who Ori is... now Let. Me. Go."

Dawn winced a little when Crevan angrily barked, "Like you don't know," back at her when she asked him what was starting all over again. She did not know, but she could guess, and she didn't like the thought. She could see both the anger and the lack of trust in his eyes, and Dawn knew that words were not going to be enough. She was going to have to show him through her actions that she cared, would never intentionally hurt him in anyway, and only wanted the best for him. And hopefully one day he would see that her discipline was fair and for his good.
Dawn was surprised to see Crevan get visibly more angry when she asked who Ori was. As she thought about she figured Ori had to be a pet of some kind, since the information she had received about Crevan had mentioned no other family members present in his life. "I am not letting you go Crevan," Dawn announced matter of factly as she carefully took a seat while straining to keep a good hold on Crevan as he tried to pull away more fervently. Dawn then spread her legs and pulled the boy in closer between her knees so that they came face to face. "Crevan I am going to spank you for disobeying me," she stated simply and matter of factly. In the future Dawn would certainly spank Crevan much longer and harder if resisted her like he was and spoke to her like this, but Dawn was not going to hold any of that against him just yet. For the time being she didn't think that would be fair or good for Crevan just yet though.
Instead Dawn forcibly guided Crevan around to her right side and half pulled and half dumped him over her lap. She quickly swung her left arm over Crevan's back and her right leg out and over the back of his legs pinning him over her lap. Once he was secured she did her best to slide Crevan into as comfortable as a position as possible balancing his torso over her left leg while his bottom was high in the air perched over the inside of her left knee. Dawn then used her right to grab the waistband of Crevan's pants as she begin to pull them down to the back of his thighs.
