as it turns out windows 8.1 does not support java so i'm going to be getting an external and updating my computer to 10 and hopefully everything will be alright. i'm looking forward to playing

Based on this: https://www.java.com/en/download/faq/win8_faq.xml Java will run on the Desktop screen, but not the Start screen. Are you able to transition to the Desktop screen?

Also, I just want it to be known that I am utterly amazed that a major operating system does not support Java under one of its primary modes of operation. Java is _everywhere_. It may very well be the most commonly used general purpose programming language in the industry.

i have windows 8.1 and can run java just fine though, and i can run and play the game as well.

Probably because you're on "Desktop" screen or whatever? If the FAQ I linked to is anything to by, it sounds like Windows 8.1 doesn't support Java when its in "Tablet" (called "Start" screen I think?) mode, but does when it's in "Desktop" mode. I don't know, I've never used Windows 8.

i have gotten it to work for like 2 seconds and java keeps crashing on me even with updates. and i am in desktop mode for this yes. im really hoping to get it working lol

Have you attempted what I suggested run the game in the command window? If I can see what the error is, I can probably help you. Also, double check to see if there is a Log.log file in the ScarletMoon folder now.

As a fan of Potion Wars, I eagarly waited for this to be released. Now that it has I must say it did not disappoint. Fantastic job and I shall pass the time before the next update by playing this. A lot

I find myself oddly unable to use any form of special abilities, I can open the menu but none are given to me even though I should have the scarlet armor and scarlet slap by now, as well as previous ones. Makes fighting the boss difficult.

Edit: Beat the boss by jumping back and forth repeatedly. Made a second character to try more stuff and could now use skills. They're neat and fun.

No idea why it didn't work first time through though, second char was mostly the same except I forgot to change her name and gave her different clothes.
Also, I forget where (am playing this sleep deprived and forgot to take notes) but at one stage when... Oh yes! It was a spanking scene mid-combat with the boss where she spanked me and I got the descriptor of my ass rather than the line to describe it, and the descriptor said it was a muscle-butt instead of a soft-seat.

Can't wait for the next update though, this seems like it has a lot of fun potential.

@Nadja Do you have a save file from the version where the skills weren't working?

As far as the boss fight, I probably got the spanker/spankee twisted around when writing the spanking text. I stumbled across a few of those issues myself in earlier versions.

Also, I am _very_ impressed that you managed to beat the boss without any skills. Even with the skills, that fight is supposed to be challenging.
