The monster was actually A werewolf. One of the creatures created by the Daedric Prince Hircine that walks the lands of Tamriel. The werewolf was charging towards the City gate in order to make it out to the open plains of Whiterun where many creatures such as Elks, Deers, Rabbits, and other races of men and mer were known to roam.

Shaun looked around at the City gate and saw the werewolf coming. He then got a closer look at the Werewolf's eyes. He then saw torches about to turn a corner, he immediately tackled the Werewolf into the empty watchtower and covered her mouth.

The werewolf was shocked when it felt something tackle it's side. Normally it would've been able to smell whatever it was however tonight the werewolf's bloodlust was too strong and it was hard to focus on anything else. Looking towards what it was the werewolf stopped in it's track to see A familiar face

Shaun sighed, this would take a while. He can't bring her home, because then the kids would freak out. He has to get her out of Whiterun, he'll deal with her in the morning.

Luckily Aela only feasted on one person in Whiterun, the patron Nazeem though not many were fond of him so despite the fear around things started to calm down though the city guards were now on high alert with torches for light and swords were drawn ready for anything.

Shaun managed to sneak her out of Whiterun after hopping the wall. He made himself and her book it into the forest, just south of Whiterun.

Two hours passes and over time Aela body started to revert back to her human form thankfully with her armor still intact since most werewolves tear through their clothes and when they revert back often wander around naked. "Where am I?" Aela questioned as her memory slowly returned to her.
