Bruce sighed and shook his head at the team. "Yeah I get it okay, the big guy is dangerous, don't you think I've tried to keep him away!?" he snapped, "I put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spat it out...." he looked away at that point and stormed past Fury to be alone in his room.

Tony looked after the man and sighed a little, he was his science bro and thinking of him committing suicide chilled him to the bone. He folded his arms over his chest and shook his head. "So now what?"

Steve watched Bruce. He could only imagine what he must go through. "I will go and talk to him. It´s best he doesn´t feel...alone." he said and followed the doctor.

Sandy Jones had been recently hired by SHIELD. She was quite young 15 to be exact. The reason she was there was that she was highly intelligent and mentally much more further than teens her age. Her field of expertise was not math or physics, what Tony and Bruce did but she had logical thinking and high general knowledge about everything in the world. Mr. Fury often counted on her for missions or other things.
She had been living with an Uncle of hers until the age of 9, then he had been killed by some unknown people. SHe was placed in a foster home until she had been hired by SHIELD.

She had heard and read everything she could get about the people that were gathered now here. Steve Rogers or better known as Captain America, Natasha better known as Black Widow, Dr. Bruce Banner...the Hulk, Thor Odinson and then there was Tony Stark, playboy billionaire and part time superhero...Iron Man.

Bruce sighed as he entered his lab and all he could think of was his team. Steve, Tony, Clint, Natasha, Thor and Sandy, and how he could jeopardize their safety in a heartbeat. He felt low and that he was not needed in the Avengers team. He sat down at his desk and lay his head on the table.

Tony looked at Sandy and smiled a little, he was very fond of the girl just as Bruce was...well all the members really but he knew that she and Bruce had a good bond and he hoped she wasn't worried about him. "You alright Sandy?"

Steve saw him and entered, he knocked on the door, being polite. He didn´t want to rush, making Bruce feel bad or anything. "May I enter?"

Sandy looked up. She had grey blue eyes and shoulderlong brown hair. She was wearing glasses. "Uhm...I don´t know sir. I just feel bad for Dr. Banner. He wants to help but at the same time...doesn´t want to endanger us." her look drifted off to the monitors showing Loki.

Bruce looked up from his desk when he heard the knock and he wondered who it could be, he was surprised to hear Steve's voice. He stood up and opened the door for him, offering a gentle smile. "What's on your mind Captain?"

Tony nodded his head, "He doesn't realize the value he has in this team and see's himself as a danger to us..." he answered and put a hand on her shoulder. "He'll be fine."

Steve smiled back. "A lot of things. Mostly about how this world changed for me...and I worry about you. About you being unfair to yourself." he said. Steve entered and sat down. He watched Bruce as he did so.

Sandy looked up to Tony. He caught her throughts and her attention back to him. "I´m sure he does. Mr. Rogers will help him." Her stomach gargeled and she stood up. "W..Would you like to get something to eat with me." she asked a bit shyly. If there was one thing Sandy hated most on her it was her doubts and shyness.

Bruce gave the man a sympathetic smile, knowing that going from one era to another in a matter of hours was sure to get at someone. He looked confused when he stated he was worried about him though. "About me?" he questioned and then closed the door behind him, turning to look at him as he sat. "You don't have to worry....or even care about me Captain, I don't even myself."

Tony grinned and felt his own hunger hounding him. "Of course, you know me I never pass up an opportunity to eat." he laughed and headed out with her out of SHIELDS and to a small cafe across the road. "What are you hungry for?"

"Well you should. You´re being unfair to yourself by thinking you´re not a help for us. People once said that too to me...What really counts is what you have deep down. You didn´t choose to have that monster in you. It happened and you should do the best out of it. You´re not alone." he said

Sandy looked around. "You know...I never really discovered the city. I mostly hang out in...book stores or comic stores. What nerds do you know.." she smiled

"I feel alone." Bruce answered pointedly and he sighed and sat down beside Steve, head in hands. "I stopped caring for my well being the day I failed to kill myself..." he added, looking at Steve. "This team...would be better off without me."

Steve chuckled and ordered himself some coffee cake and a large espresso. "You're not a nerd, you like comics so what, just because me and Bruce like science it doesn't make us geeks." he pointed out, handing her a milkshake with all the stops. "I could take you out and about if you'd like."

Steve took his hands, firm but gentle. "Listen. I won´t give up on you. I will be your friend. I lost...a friend, a lover...everything. So I will make sure it won´t repeat itself." He looked at Bruce. He looked comfident and ready for everything that needed to be done.

Sandy looked at him. "I know that." she uttered. As he said he could take her out she wanted to say yes but something made her stop and so: "Oh no you don´t need to do that. I mean you have important work to do. After all, there´s a good-looking God trying to take over the world." she grinned
