Seyan looked at her, one eyebrow arched slightly, though that might have been an effect of the old scar that ran from his hairline down across his left eye to his cheek.

"In all honesty," he began, "the Hutt is not my primary concern. I think he's in possession of some... stolen Jedi artifacts. Artifacts I intend on recovering. If I can do that without running into an angry Hutt, so much the better. I don't know how many soldiers he's got left, but I'm betting it's more than we've seen here, and they're... packing some pretty serious heat. We're definitely at a disadvantage here and, worse, he knows we're here, so there's little chance we can just sneak in and out."

She listened to him, her expression darkening as he told her that he had no interest in hunting down the hutt. She couldn't care less about stolen Jedi artifacts and she didn't care if the hutt was already angry or not, she had a score to settle with him for killing her father. "Then I'll go alone." She snapped at him and walked toward the tunnel where the hutt had disappeared earlier. She would have run off but she knew that would be beyond painful with her broken rubs and the other bruises she had all over the place right now. She didn't care about surviving the encounter as long as she got the chance to kill the creature that had killed her dad. She really didn't have anything to live for now anyway.

Seyan shook his head, "You're going to need a lot more than swords if you're going after a Hutt. Really. And... in all honesty? You're in no shape to fight him. If you're very lucky, he'll devour you whole. If you're not? He'll let you live. You really don't want to live as a Hutt's slave."

He looked around, "Most of us are hurt, most of us are bleeding. Blast, you can barely walk! I've got a cage full of prisoners I need to set free, and I've got no backup enroute. The embassy doesn't have a military presence it can expend on this, and the nearest Jedi enclave is light-years away. I'm not saying I'm not going to take a shot at him if the chance presents itself... for all the good that will do, Hutts are tough customers... but it's not my primary goal. These artifacts are precious to hundreds of Jedi, thousands, even, if you want to take future generations into account."

He turned to look towards the darkened hall that lead away from the loading bay, "I can see that you want him dead, you're fairly burning with it. But... revenge doesn't really solve anything. We can get this guy, somehow, someday... but today... does not feel like that day. We're... not prepared for a battle of that magnitude. I'm not sure we're prepared for a battle of any magnitude at this point... but I know we're not going to get a second chance like this."

Once again she stopped walking when he talked, though she didn't know why she wanted to hear what he had to say. She didn't own him anything and he didn't owe her anything so why was he acting so concerned. Plus ,he kept saying 'us' and 'we' like she was allied with them or something. She couldnt help but shutter a little when he pointed out the bleak fate of a hutts slaves, she hadn't thought of that since she had not intended on surviving the encounter anyway. He went on then to talk about their bleak condition, and his mission and she half turned to face him. The vengeful daughter in her wanted to ignore him and go anyway, but the hardened mercenary had to admit that he was right. She would lose if she ran after him now and she would not get her revenge if she died.

Seyan kept talking then and she grit her teeth as she fought to keep from giving in to the urge to cry. He was right, and it infuriated her, but it did not change anything. "Why do you keep saying 'we'? I'm not anything to you or anyone else now." She asked then, for the first time since she'd talked to him a bit of vulnerability slipped through the hard mask. She had lost everything that was important to her, she should be full of rage or self pity, yet she wasnt. All she could think about was the offer he'd made to her earlier about joining the Jedi, and the fact that he'd included her in his plans, trusted her, without a seconds hesitation. For some reason she trusted him, and that scared her.

Seyan shrugged, "Whether you admit it to yourself or not, you're Force-sensitive. More, you're a Force-user. Probably always have been or, at least, have been for most of your life, you just didn't realize it. Your talents are sloppy... untrained, unfocused, but undeniably there. With time, and help, you could become really good at it. You might even know things that you're not even aware of, having never had the opportunity to use 'em. I mean, I know you can use the old 'Jedi mind trick', I've seen that in action, and you've got at least limited telepathy, empathy at the very least. Who knows? Maybe you can instinctively understand xeno languages, or make things float. Or... who knows? The Force is a multi-faceted jewel, and we're always discovering new lights to it."

Skylar listened to him, growing a bit desperate with each new force ability he listed that she could use since each one made it that much harder for her to pretend she was normal. She had no idea what Xeno languages were but the rest of it made sense, and what was even weirder for her was that she actually sort of wanted to learn how to use the force now. She had no reason not to anymore. "If I accept your offer from before, what exactly does that mean for me?" She asked tentatively, after a long pause. What she mainly wanted to know was if her only choice now was to become a Jedi, which didn't seem all bad, and if she would be able to stay with Seyan or if he meant to pawn her off on some stranger once he got her back to wherever it was that Jedi lived. She was tentatively accepting the whole training idea, but that would shatter if she could not stay with Seyan since she trusted him after todays events. It would not be easy, not by a long shot, but she would try.

Seyan shrugged, "Depends on the Council, mostly. What will probably happen, since there's not terribly many Jedi and I've only one current apprentice, is that, after the initial tests, they'll tell me to take over your training, at least in part. There's a few other Masters around the Temple that teach things I cannot, but, by and large, you'll accompany Kyri and myself on whatever mission we have to do. At that point, I'm, well, instructor, trainer, teacher, caregiver, bank account, and everything else."

Skylar got a somewhat nervous look on her face when he mentioned the Council and 'initial tests' since she was nervous about the idea of having to pass tests to get into this place. The rest of it sort of relaxed her again though, since she was starting to trust Seyan and he was basically telling her that she would most likely be able to stay with him and Kyri which was what she found that she wanted now. She couldn't help but grin a little when he added 'bank account' to that list of what he'd be to her, but she sobered again quickly. "All right. I'll go and meet your council then, and I'll help you look for those things you're looking for since Kyri is busy." She said, pulling herself up and forcing herself not to wince at the pain in her ribs. She would forget about the hutt for now and help him complete his mission, because she was shrewdly thinking that if she proved she could be helpful to him now then the council he was talking about might let her stay with him. If they decided anything else she would just run off, and she wouldn't be in any worse situation than she was now.

Seyan eyed her, "Well, first things, either let Kyri heal you, or take a bacta shot. You... look like you could fall over any minute now, and I really don't want to have to carry you out of an army of killer droids while juggling half a dozen holocrons."

He turned to Kyri, who was busying herself with rummaging through the pockets of the slain, looking for a key-control to the energy cage, "And if you try that little stunt with the injector again, she won't be the only one with a sore butt!" Kyri wrinkled her nose, displeased that she'd been caught out, not to mention publicly scolded, but managed a tired, "Yes, Master" before returning to her work.

Skylar sighed, then winced, as he told her to get healed before she could help. She did not like admitting that she needed it but he was right, she'd be a liability without it. She turned to look at the other girl as the Master Jedi scolded Kyri, grinning a little at the expression on the other girls face. "Will you do the force thing?" She asked her, once again removing her armor but leaving the shirt on this time. Her voice was a lot less hostel now, though it wasn't exactly friendly either. Once the armor was off she walked over to the other girl and waited, though it was plain from her expression that she was still sort of nervous about the idea of the other girl healing her with the force.
