3,000 years before the Galactic Empire, the Republic was at peace. The Jedi Order protected the galaxy and the Republic, their commitment to the light strong. And sometimes to protect that light the Jedi had to step between two sides of a war and negotiate peace, as Master Gavin had been called to do on the outer rim. As the human male prepared to jump his ship to hyperspace he received a distress call.

"Looks like we'll have to delay our return to the temple, I've just gotten a distress call from a group of archaeologists." He said over the intercom to his close friend Master Xavier, and his padawan Chalet.

Master X responded immediately, "Of course. I'll prepare for a rescue."

Chalet brightened a little. She didn't actually want anyone to be in danger, but the Temple was boring sometimes. She liked adventures. Back through the intercom, "What do you need me to do?"

Gavin linked the ship's computer with the Jedi archives to look the planet up.

"Seems this planet was the site of some major battles during the old Sith Wars a thousand years ago." He said. "It's possible these archaeologists have stumbled upon some sort of Sith Weapon. We'd best be on our guard."

As Gavin steered the ship into the planet's atmosphere massive craters could bee seen for miles, the telltale sign of orbital bombardment still visible after a thousand years.

After going over miles of the ruined landscape they finally spotted a small makeshift landing pad outside of a large ruin. "That's it." Gavin pointed out, bringing the ship down.

Master X followed behind more cautiously.

"Hold it." Gavin grabbed his padawan's arm. "Sith artifacts are dangerous. Do not touch anything or you won't sit for a week."

Outside an old man with a white beard, surrounded by guards carrying blaster rifles and wearing the insignia of the notorious Czerka corp, meet Master Xavier. "I was hoping corporate would have sent help." He said.

The old man looked to the crumbling ruins. "Ten days ago my team broke through the rubble into a sealed room. Inside we found, incredible as it seems, something alive. It was in some kind of energy field that shut off when on of my workers touched it. We think it was a Sith."

Gavin stopped in his tracks. "A living Sith?"

Chalet took an excited battle stance "Are you shitting us?? that is AMAZING! Let me in! Let me see!"
