Supernatural Trouble { VulcanSpock
He'd thought he'd had it all, so in control and mighty as the former King of the Crossroads, and now, King of Hell; he'd never thought anything like this would happen to him. He thought he hadn't deserved another chance at fatherhood, not after what he'd done to Gavin. Those drunken rages, the neglect, and the abandonment, he couldn't rid himself of that guilt and he'd turned out worse than his mother.
In the distant past, the current King of Hell, Crowley, had done the horizontal tango with a beautiful lady that so happened to be human; normally he'd stay away from humans though this opportunity to enjoy himself would be too good to pass up, and he'd unintentionally created a Cambion, a little girl who had recently turned eleven years old.
These days Crowley had found himself looking after his little hell spawn, and today, that beautiful woman that he'd gotten with eleven years ago lay in a hospital bed, dying after a terrible car accident. Crowley leaned up on the door frame of her hospital room, looking on with a frown as a reaper came up and placed a hand on the woman's cheek, "It's time to go," the reaper told her gently, and the heart beat on the monitor flatlined, with Crowley's little hellspawn, his daughter, a mere two feet from her mother's bed.
*****
This frustrating evening began with a prayer, to an angel, any angel, to get a hunter's young daughter out of a psychiatric hospital. Castiel, angel of the lord had responded to that prayer, and he'd taken care of the young girl, zapping her back home with her loving, worried to death mother, where she'd belonged before he took his leave.
Only a baby angel would be able to detect the presence of a creature called a Shipegra, and Cas hadn't taken notice to this Shipegra following him out of the hospital. Cas would often be too hard on himself and had gone through depression; this would attract the Shipegra, and the the Shipegra had taken a special interest in him and wanted something from him. The Shipegra came up behind the angel and struck him, knocking him clean out and leaving its mark on his shoulder as it siphoned out his grace, and left him there in the mud; the grace had increased the Shipegra's energy and now the former grown angel would be a seven year old human boy with a concussion.
It wouldn't be long until Cas regained consciousness. He hadn't a clue where he was, nor what had happened to him, and gradually he stood, looking down at his mud-stained outfit that would conveniently be the right size for his now little body. Only one thought had crossed the former angel's mind - he had to find Sam and Dean, though without his grace he hadn't a clue where to look.
He was closer to Sioux Falls than any other location on the map and he'd started in the direction of the Singer home. It would be over an hour until he'd stumbled over the deck and slumped up on the door when he'd extended a hand to knock. He was so tired, and he was so miserable. He was muddy, wet, cold, and in pain.
Sam would be upstairs in the room that he'd taken for himself, and his older brother Dean would be downstairs in the den, researching something on a local case, or so Sam had hoped Dean was still researching. His brother had a tendency to look at porn when he'd gotten too tired of reading articles.

Young Lilah was very much like her Father, she had that bad temper of his, and a taste for the finer things in life. Being half demon she also had a tendency to be very naughty which drove her mother crazy with discipline tactics, all of which failed. She'd never laid a hand on Lilah and had always been more of a pushover. Lilah always wondered what her Father was like but her mother just said he was a British twat with a temper. It wasn't much to go on. Lilah looked down at her mother when the heart monitor flat lined and she looked down, wondering where she would go now.
Most likely she would have to stay with her Mother's mother who was deeply religious and that sort of thing made Lilah uncomfortable. She'd once gone to church with her family and burned herself by touching some holy water in a basin. Her Mother never took her back there again, as of course the church goers hadn't been all too forgiving after that display. "Rest now mom." Lilah whispered and then wiped her tears.

Dean and Sam didn't plan on staying at Bobby's too long this time, they were working on a case close to Sioux falls so Bobby offered to put them up for a few days, and then they'd be back on the road, going where they were needed to hunt some monster hide. Dean liked hanging out at Bobby's, but not when they were on a case because Bobby got grumpy really fast when he had to stay up all night doing research, and he was no fun to be around, plus Sam wouldn't let him look up porn, which annoyed him.
The eldest Winchester was about to open up his anime stash of porn when he heard a thud on the porch outside the door. Nothing major, but it sounded like something had fallen. Dean frowned and got up before going to the door, gun in his back pocket. He opened it up and frowned when he saw a kid there, wearing a mini trench coat. "Uhhh..." he looked the boy over and wasn't sure what to do, "You okay kid?" he asked, unaware this was Castiel.

Crowley took a couple of steps into the room, stepping out of the way of a doctor and a couple of nurses that had come with a crash cart in response to the code. He observed as they'd done all that they could to resuscitate the woman, to little avail as a reaper had taken her, and they'd called it and lay a sheet over the body. "Time of death, 7:44pm."
The doctor that had come to care for her mother placed a gentle hand on Lilah's shoulder. "Come on, we'll take care of you," he assured her, though they would be stopped by Crowley who would not allow a stranger to take his daughter. Crowley stood in the doorway and with a flick of his wrist, the doctor and his nurses had gone, and it would be only Crowley and Lilah in the room.
"Hello, love." came Crowley's gruff voice, to get Lilah's attention. That British accent would give the girl a clue into the identity of this stranger.
*****
At the current time, Bobby would be asleep upstairs, not wanting to deal with another night of research. He'd loved his boys, though he was just getting too old for that nonsense and sleep would be his number one priority.
When the door opened, Cas would be down on the porch on his little knees, and he looked up to Dean with those familiar blues. "... Dean," he whimpered; the voice that had come from him shocked him. It was so soft and so sweet and innocent, no longer holding its usual gruffness. The seven year old would be sopping wet from head to toe, and those little cheeks burned hot with a fever.
Carefully, Cas stood, and the details of the outfit that he wore would clue Dean in on his identity. Cas nearly toppled over as he swayed where he stood, and he'd just wanted to cry. Instead, he swallowed hard at the lump in his throat.

Lilah had been close to her mother but she always felt like she was different in some way. She didn't know she was a Cambion or anything like that, but she did know she wasn't completely human, she could feel it. She would be able to sense when her Father was near, she'd look upon his face and see the demon that lay beneath, and know it was her Father. The girl looked up when a Doctor placed a hand on her shoulder and said they would take care of her, "Alright.." she said softly though the next thing she knew, they were gone.
The eleven year old looked very confused and then her eyes rested easily on the man before her. She knew who he was because her senses were telling her. "Father?" she asked softly and walked toward him, his soft British tone was soothing to her ears. The girl glanced back at her dead mother beneath the sheet and she looked like she was thinking hard about something.
"Are you here to take Mom to hell?" she asked, not sounding worried or anything, even though she'd always been taught that Hell was somewhere you just didn't want to be. However, she'd always been curious about Hell, and not afraid in the slightest, people in their community would call her possessed or a demon but her Mother always defended her - poorly at that.
******
Hearing this small child say his name gave Dean reason to believe he should be worried, the child could be anything and he was worried that it could be a threat. However when the boy stood, looking like he was going to cry, and seeing what the child was wearing, Dean figured it out. The eldest Winchester's eyes widened and his mouth fell open slightly. "C-Cas?" he asked and then swallowed a lump in his throat. "Is that you Cas? What the hell happened to ya?" he asked and then stood to the side when Sam came over.
"Cas! We were worried about you!" he sort of half scolded, sounding like a worried mother. "Look at you, God you're freezing, and sopping wet, c'mon." he lead the boy inside and immediately got him out of those dripping wet clothes, leaving him completely naked in front of the roaring fire in the Singer home den. "Here, it's not much right now but it'll keep you warm." Sam said, putting a blanket around the naked Angel baby.
"Seriously Cas, what happened to ya?" Dean asked again, frowning and looking more than bewildered.

The demon couldn't stop those thin lips from curling upward into a smile as Lilah recognized him as her father, and he took a step from the wall, straightening his stance as Lilah took a couple of steps in his direction. "Yes, darling, I'm your father." they'd never met though he'd known that she'd come into this world a Cambion and would be able to look past his vessel and see the true demonic entity within.
At the question regarding her mother, Catherine, Crowley slowly turned his head side to side. "Oh, no. A reaper took mum up to Heaven. Hell would not be the place for Catherine, a woman too innocent." Crowley told his hell spawn honestly; he'd looked on as her community had treated her poorly for her unique attributes, though they would never know how close they were to actually getting it right. Lilah would be part human, part demon, not full-blood demon as those are created from souls tortured in Hell.
"Would you like to go somewhere... more comfortable?" Crowley questioned Lilah, looking past her at the body of her deceased mother in the bed. He hadn't thought it at all positive for her mental health to remain here and keep having to look at that. Lilah had been involved in that car accident, though she'd gotten away with little more than a bruise.
*****
With that concussed noggin so foggy, Cas couldn't come up with the words to tell the older Winchester brother anything; he hadn't any recollection of what had happened nor where he'd come from. "... I-I 'unno... m'sorry..." came the former angel baby's apologetic response, and as he looked up to Dean pitifully, tears would well in those unmistakeable dazed blues. Just those eyes would be enough to confirm that this would be their angel, without his grace and in pint-sized form.
Cas shivered uncontrollably at the cold and folded his arms over his chest, rubbing either of his upper arms in a futile attempt to both calm himself and warm himself up. He looked up at the younger Winchester brother and that little bottom lip wobbled, "m'sorry, I didn't mean to worry you..." Cas sniffled and coughed; the back of his head throbbed and the back of his left shoulder burned, and he took cautious steps into the house with Sam leading him in by the hand.
The Shipegra had left its mark on the back of Cas' left shoulder and when Sam would take care to take those sopping wet garments off of his little body, had he paid attention he would have spotted that unusual mark, that would still be an open, raw wound. Cas' shoulders shook as Sam wrapped a blanket around him and placed him by the fireplace to warm him up.
"I 'unno-oo...!" Cas repeated to Dean, this time incredibly irritable and his voice breaking into a cry. He was scared, cold, sick, and totally worn out and he pulled the blanket carefully over his head to curl up in a little ball and hide. Cas couldn't be too certain if any of this would be actually happening and he sniffled and coughed.

All her life, Lilah had been protected by her Father, but from afar. Catherine would not permit Crowley to be anywhere near his child, so he'd had to protect her from a distance as Lilah was sort of accident prone. When she was just two years old she tried drinking bleach from under the sink so Crowley sent in something to distract her and save her life. Her mother was of course blissfully unaware. Her mother was nice but she was young and naïve, often being told what to do and what to think by her overly religious mother.
"Oh, okay." Lilah answered when Crowley said that her Mom would be going up to heaven. At the suggestion to go somewhere more comfortable, Lilah nodded her head, though she wasn't sure where they could go as most of the local community despised her. "Where do you want to go, Father? Do you have a house?" she asked curiously. The girl anxiously rubbed the large bruise on her arm and pouted somewhat. "How come I didn't die in the crash but Mom did?" she asked, naturally curious about that.
*******
Sam had noticed the mark but he hadn't been sure what to say, he didn't want to mention it and freak Cas out, since he wasn't reacting to it, he thought maybe the child turned Angel hadn't even realized he had it. He would definitely look up that kind of mark on his laptop as soon as he got the chance though, because it was unlike anything he had ever seen. "It's alright Cas, you're our friend, so we're always gonna worry about you." Sam explained, gently rubbing his lower back to calm down those heart breaking tears.
Dean felt bad when he'd made Castiel cry, he kind of forgot he was speaking to a child. "Uh..sorry Cas." he said sort of awkwardly and scowled when Sam gave him a 'oh great job!' kind of look. Dean knelt down and looked into Castiel's eyes, "I'm sorry I made ya cry, Cas. We'll figure this whole thing out, okay?"
"In the meantime you'll have to stay close to me and Dean." Sam added and Dean nodded in agreement. With Cas being small and vulnerable, he was a target to most demons, Crowley especially because of the fact Cas screwed him over in letting those souls out of purgatory.

While he couldn't be with Lilah over those eleven years of her existence, Crowley would be oddly alright with the lack of visitation privileges. It would only be Catherine's outward beauty that had attracted him; other than her beauty, Crowley could not stand the woman.
He'd found her terribly nauseating as she would be so sweet and naïve, and her apartment would be cluttered from the floor to the ceiling with Bibles, crosses, 'footprints in the sand' and other religious artifacts and he'd taken his leave shortly after their 'tango'.
Catherine would even go so far as to enroll Lilah in a Christian private school though that hadn't lasted long at all as the moment Lilah lay a hand on a Bible, it burned and that would further oust her from society.
Crowley had understood and respected Catherine's decision to not let him be there with them; he hadn't known if she'd discovered that she'd lain with a demon or if she'd only considered that a one-night stand that hadn't meant anything. It hadn't made any difference in how much he'd cared for Lilah.
He would look in on Lilah when her mother would be too distracted by the telly or her Bible studies to take notice to their little one had gotten into something that had the potential to end her.
Crowley hadn't thought that he would have the opportunity to stand before his baby, and converse with her directly. He would not take his daughter anywhere that she would be despised and he would take her from this Bible Belt community for her protection. Crowley extended a calloused hand and placed it on Lilah's shoulder, and together they disappeared from that dreary hospital room and reappeared in a nice, immaculate hotel suite.
"I don't have a house, love, but I do have this place, pre-paid for years to come." Crowley told Lilah, "You don't have to worry about those humans anymore, Lilah. We are roughly four thousand miles from where you'd lived. From East to West coast." he'd hoped that Lilah could find comfort in this hotel room; they'd had a brilliant view of the Pacific Ocean and a beautiful beach down below that they could enjoy themselves at.
*****
Cas shook violently with frightened cries though when Sam gently rubbed circles in his lower back and Dean knelt down beside him, those cries calmed back into sniffles, hiccups and coughs. Cas looked to Dean with that apology and he wiped his tears and snot with the back of his hand. "It's okay, De..." Cas whimpered and he got a strange look on those feverish features and he sneezed into the blanket. He didn't feel good at all, though he would pay attention to the brothers Winchester as they spoke to him.
When Sam told him that he would have to stay close, Cas would accept that with no hesitation, as he would be too frightened to go back outside for a long while. He hadn't wanted to leave the protection of his friends and he'd unfortunately felt those memories of his adulthood as a grown angel disappear.
"I-I will... Don't wanna go anywhere... Mmmmhhh, I don't... I don't feel good," Cas whined and gradually lowered himself down onto the floor, snuggling up with his blanket as his temperature climbed and gave him the chills, though he pushed the blanket down when those chills would turn into a cold sweat.

Lilah didn't really understand why bibles burned her, or why holy water was so painful. She didn't get why going into a church made her feel ill, but a year ago she looked into it on the internet (at a local library since her home was devoid of technology, even books were limited unless it was the bible) and read lots of lore on demons and hell and the likes. She came to the understanding she might be one too, but she wasn't sure to what extent or even how it was possible.
The girl looked at the hand placed on her shoulder and smiled up at her Father when they arrived in a nice, fancy hotel suite. "Wow!" she gasped and ran to the window immediately to take in that ocean view. "It's the ocean! Look Daddy!" she pointed excitedly. She looked up when he said that they didn't have to worry about those humans anymore, and he said it with such distaste. "Don't you like humans, Daddy?" she asked curiously.
"I liked Mom, but I didn't like Grandma...or the kids from Sunday school, they were always kinda mean to me." she frowned.
*****
Placing the flat of his hand across the little one's forehead, Sam felt to see if Cas had some sort of fever. He felt warm and that worried him a little bit. He looked up at Dean with concern in his eyes when the baby Angel said that he didn't feel good. "C'mon Cas, I think you need a nice warm bed, a cold flannel and some tomato soup or something." Sam smiled softly, standing and picking Castiel up and into his arms. It didn't feel odd to him, in a way Cas had always been a baby in a trench coat.
This was all new to Dean, but he wanted to be there for Cas as he was their friend, "I'll make the soup, maybe you should check his temp, Sammy?" he couldn't help a small smirk, "Bobby's old rectal thermometer should be in the bathroom cabinet." he told him nonchalantly but there was a wicked smile on his lips, simply because he knew it would both freak and gross Sam out.
Sam visibly paled at the thought of having to do that to Cas, it would be so awkward. "R-Right..." he answered and continued on his way upstairs. He laid Castiel down in his bed and got him a cold, wet flannel for his hot forehead. "Here, this will help bring down the fever." he said gently.

"Mm..." Crowley held back a smile as Lilah looked out the window to the beauty of the beach and the ocean, "I'm aware." he told her when she'd told him to look at the ocean. Crowley couldn't stop himself from letting out a sigh as he would be questioned about how he'd felt about humans in general.
"No, Lilah, I don't care for humans, not at all. The lot of them are revolting, obnoxious creatures, though... that would not concern you, darling." Crowley had known of his hell spawn questioning not only who, but what she is. Clearing his throat, the demon father would continue on to clear that up. "You are a Cambion. A Cambion is born when a demon," he pointed toward himself, "gets a human pregnant."
Crowley frowned as Lilah brought up that she hadn't liked her grandmother, and he hadn't blamed her, not one bit. "Your grandmother, what a horrid, vile woman," Crowley grumbled, as he'd observed on many occasions her grandmother raising a hand to slap her in the mouth for naughty behavior instead of taking her in hand to discpline her properly in a non-abusive manner.
Her grandmother had always been so terrified of her Cambion grandbaby, often throwing holy artifacts at her and constantly forcing her into churches with the prayer that whatever demon had possessed her beautiful granddaughter Lilah would take its leave in the presence of the holy spirit.
*****
"Mmhhh," Cas moaned when Sam placed a gentle hand on his little forehead and had found that he'd gotten a fever, and he covered his head and face with the blanket as he hadn't at all wanted to be touched. "Okay..." Cas hadn't liked to be unwell and he would do all that it took to bring down that fever and be more comfortable, though he cried in frustration when Sam gathered him up to hold him.
At the mention of the rectal thermometer, Cas went completely still and quiet, as if he'd lost consciousness, though he would be awake, alert and totally rigid. He'd known what a rectal thermometer would be and he placed his little hands over his rear end, not at all wanting anything in there!
"...Y-You aren't gonna...?!" Cas gasped as Sam ascended the stairs holding him close, though he would let out a little sigh of relief as Sam carried him past the bathroom and into his bedroom, and got him a cold flannel to bring down his temperature. He'd thought he would be totally out of the woods as far as having his temperature taken in such an unpleasant way.

Hearing how much Crowley despised humans made her a little uncomfortable. She'd thought herself to be human, at least a little bit...maybe? She looked up when the man made clear that he did not mean her, and that she was basically half demon and half human. "Oh..." she answered, not as freaked out by that as she should be. She wondered why Crowley hadn't been with her, and where he had been when she was growing up. The girl then brought up her Grandmother and nodded in agreement when Crowley called her a vile woman.
"I don't think she liked me very much." she said softly, and she'd always wondered why. Her Grandmother seemed so frightened of her, and was always calling her an unholy child, or devil's child. She didn't like that. The girl then looked back out of the window and watched the dark ocean happily. It was around midnight now and the girl would need her sleep, however she was not about to remind her Father of the time, as like any child she did not want to go to bed.
"Can we go down to the beach, Daddy?" she asked pleadingly.
******
Sam said nothing when Cas asked if he was going to actually take his temperature anally and he just laid Cas down in bed, putting a cold flannel over his head. He sighed softly, knowing he would have to take Castiel's temperature and also knowing that Bobby did not have any other thermometers that would be suitable for the baby angel. "Wait here Cas." he told him softly before exiting the room and going to the bathroom. He grabbed the rectal thermometer from the cabinet and shuddered, remembering his own experiences with it growing up.
"This is gonna suck..." he sighed and headed back into the room, "I uh...I still gotta take your temperature Cas...so, ...so just relax and it'll be over before you know it, okay?" he asked though he looked ill as he said it. He didn't want to have to do this as much as Cas didn't want to have to receive it. "Lay down on your stomach Cas, okay?" he asked.
Dean poured the tomato soup into a bowl and then cut some slices of bread, making sure to cut the crusts off and then he waited, he waited for Sam to get on with the whole temperature bit before he would go up there because he didn't want to deal with that scene right now.
